Islamic Smirnoff

Javad came home Monday and said they are selling booze at pharmacies
here in Tehran. He asked me to go and ask for "Alkol Gandom"
(wheat alcohol, larger
image). I went to the pharmacy around the corner and sure enough
they had some. It's under the Ettehadiyeh brand and produced legally
with government permission (see
back label and top).
The label says "Alkol Tebbee" (medical alcohol). Yeah!
This "medical" alcohol can easily compete with Smirnoff.
Priced at around three US dollars, all I have to say is, "Woohooooooooooooooooo!!!"
