The unknown slipper

The long journey lies ahead in its vastness
Eventually ending in utter joy or bitterness
Determined to find my jewel and cherish it forever
The greatest hurdle I will jump over and stop never
I will conquer and roam through the darkest forest
And ride the fiercest stream, passing every test
To complete my life, it is you I need
But the longer I search, the more I bleed

The search goes on, days of hot, days of cold
As this old watch reminds me I'm getting old
But I would rather die searching
Than give up and regret failing
I would give up all my days, from today until my death
For one chance to share with you one single breath
