Traveling in an armored Humvee

Based on "Land Down Under" by the Australian band Men At Work. I wrote it for one of my soccer buddies from Sonoma, California wine country, who is in Iraq right now. It was well received over there.

Traveling in an armored Humvee ...
In the hot desert full of bounty ...
New Iraqi recruits make me nervous...
Had to stop an' share my breakfas' ...

They said "Are you from the wine country? ...
Wine and cheese and the big party ...
Don't you touch, don't you touch that whisky...
Better go an' call your brother ...
Dah da da da da da da da da da da dah... (guitar & flute)

I told the man from Basra ...
Don't you ever hurt your sista' ...
He said are you trying to change me ...
Because I kicked your big red Humvee ...

I said "Don't you praise Allah, mullah" ...
Or that old ayatollah ...
I am from the wine country ...
Men are fine, women much better ...
Dah da da da da da da da da da da dah... (guitar & flute)

Don't you praise Allah, mullah ...
Or that old ayatollah ...
I am from the wine country ...
Men are fine, women much better ...
