The only beginning

They denigrate their father and mother
They denigrate where they come from
They denigrate their history
They make up stories
They affabulate
They start believing their own lies
They loose a sense of who they are
They suffer but they wouldn't want to heal
That would entail facing reality!
They come smashing one day into a wall
Their wounds are such that they fall apart
Their only choice is then to live or die
They finally accept it all
That is the only beginning.
