Some ask me why there are very few portraits of
women in my "Faces Project"? The answer is short and simple.
My subjects
must
look
into the
camera
at a close distance and communicate in order to let me see their
personality through the lens. But in our male-dominated society, women
are uncomfortable with being photographed by strangers in public.
