Nahid Boethe has been chosen as the official U.K. Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Hendon.

On hearing the news Nahid said: "It is a pleasure and a privilege to be chosen as the Liberal Democrat candidate for this year's general election. I am looking forward to spending a lot of time listening hard to the concerns of the Hendon electorate, who could be excused for feeling let down by the current administration'.

Nahid comes to the election with vast experience in business, local government and volunteer work. She has been a councillor in Harrow, school governor, the vice chair of a health management committee, past president of the Kingsbury and Kenton Inner Wheel, and run her own fashion business. She is married with two grown children and has an honours degree in social sciences that helps her in her work on a committee for victim support and as a trustee for a voluntary services organisation.
