Poetry Event at Mehregan Persian Festival of Autumn
Orange County, CA, Oct 1-2, 2005

IRVINE, CA – SEPTEMBER 1, 2005 – On the 10th anniversary of Mehregan Festival in Orange County, there will be a poetry reading event “Poetry That is Life”.

More than 20 poets will present their poems in English and Farsi in the two days of festival between 2 and 5 p.m.

Mehregan Festival is a colorful cultural event, that has contributed to cultural exchanges in Southern California,  inviting the community to take this opportunity to meet Iranian,  Afghan poets and Members of the Orange County Poetry Hosts participating in the event.

Poetry has been one the main art forms in Iranian culture.  Mehregan Festivals have organized exhibits about master Persian poets who have contributed to world culture for the past 10 years.

This year’s event is dedicated to Farsi speaking poets in Southern California and American poets from Orange County.
