There's been a long-runing dispute about the song "Hazrat-e Eshgh". Many have assumed that Googoosh sang it for Ayatollah Khomeini when he was widely popular at the outset of the revolution. But according to this news item in Javanan magazine form 1977, Sadegh Nojooki wrote the song based on a love letter written by his mother to his father [original pages (1) (2)].
