New breed of looters
The only upside of this outcome is that if ever the rotten Islamic establishment finds itself the target of liberating precision guided missiles, the bleeding heart "change from within" crowd will whine less about collateral damage

The catastrophic result of the recent election in Iran should put the nail in the coffin of the "change from within" dogma. Whatever change has occurred, is the exact opposite of what the proponents of "change from within" had crossed their fingers for.

The selection of the chief executioner and terrorist Ahmadinejad to president clearly confirms the fact that more than a quarter century of institutionalized terror and looting by Islamist thugs has bent the desperate Iranian masses so far out of shape that their hope for social equity and justice has mutated to none other than a rat race of Islamic piety or pretence to suck up for handouts from the national oil loot.

In its recent populist maneuver, the regime has promised to finally begin to trickle down the profits from $60 barrels of oil to the Basijis, the lowest life form of its diehard vigilantes who so far appear to have been selflessly performing their Islamic thuggery for free.

Now, certifiably pious Islamic automatons (and their families of course) can hope to finally be able to buy some bigger-ticket made in China or Korea consumer products (clock radios, air conditioners, washer/dryers, scooters and cars) to get by more comfortably while no one dares to worry about investment in education, infrastructure and productivity.

Inevitably, even not accounting for the potentially massive pent-up greed, at some point there will not be enough money to go around and some of the presently hopeful new dogs of the regime will get the short end of the stick. They will first turn on those who have already lined their pockets and then each other. Whether they will become "reformists" and cry foul over eradication of their "civil rights", or resort to yet more authentically forceful Islamic methods, i.e. massive confiscation of property, terror and mass execution remains to be seen.

Meanwhile the indoctrination of masses in the new Islamic world order and its new incentive schemes along with the mad rush to obtain a few nukes to seal and cement the status quo will accelerate.

Moreover a fresh rhetoric will have to be a devised to keep on blaming and threatening the West for all the economic and social calamities that are due when a band of semi-literate thugs engage in Islamic social engineering.

The only upside of this outcome is that if ever the rotten Islamic establishment finds itself the target of liberating precision guided missiles, the bleeding heart "change from within" crowd will whine less about collateral damage.
