Deserving
victory
Ahmadinejad, both in terms
of principles and behavior, is very close to our
intellectuals. So why are they complaining?

I don't understand why the results of the
recent election is surprising or upsetting the Iranian
intellectuals.
Let me first explain why the result should not be surprising. One
side of election with has entered the election forcefully with strategy,
planning, long time preparation and organization. The other sides
(including other contenders except Hashemi, parties, dissidents)
have none of the above, except arrogance and confusion. So what would
do you expect? Who deserves
to win the game?
I also do not understand why the results should upset the so-called
intellectuals and many of political activists and dissidents. Ahmadinejad,
both in terms of principles and behavior, is very close to our
intellectuals. This claim will be surely denied by "intellectuals",
as they always deny any relation between Islamic Republic and themselves. They
shamelessly cast the entire blame on the traditional schools and clergy. Quite
the opposite, Islamic Republic is very much formed by the same ideas that were
created or supported by our intellectuals. Indeed the theoretical support for
IR still comes from
intellectuals and not traditional schools.
Let's summarize Ahmadinejad so far: Leftist economy, glorifying poverty,
rebellion against the establishment, and radical nationalism. Sounds familiar?
I don't think Ahmadinejad got these ideas from the thin air. These are
the main themes of political activity in the contemporary history. Let me ask
you this question: how many of these so-called intellectuals are not still attached
to these ideas? How many of them have openly expressed regret and repent over
their involvement in 1979 revolution? The
answer: very few.
They still blame the clergies for stealing the revolution, for not giving them
the power, for abusing "the ideals" of revolution. What were the ideals
of
revolution? I think Ahmadinejad representing those ideals very closely.
And please forgive him for not wanting to share the power with our dear intellectuals!
Everybody likes to keep the power for himself, especially if they worked hard
to get it.
But maybe I am rushing to judgment. Maybe I have to believe the dear political
dissidents who say they are much more in favor of freedom than Ahmadinejad...
Please! Since when freedom became a thing for Iranians? Our idea of freedom,
formulated by our intellectual, is simply rebellion, chaos and making noise.
How many of our dear intellectuals have been for economic freedom? Please name
one.
Majority of political dissident and so-called intellectuals must simply shut
up. Enough of them already. If it was not for them, we would have had a healthy
discussion about choosing free economy now. The only skill of our dear intellectuals
is to talk endlessly. Majority of them are still under the influence of a do-nothing
know-nothing asses such as
Shariati or Tabari.
These intellectuals are so stupid
that they complement their opponent with terms
such as "conservative"' or "fundamentalists" or "traditionalist".
Maybe to them the problem with Ahmadinejad is that (according to them) he sincerely
belives in principles and traditions and he is conservative! They hail Ahmadinejad
for his views on social justice! Ahmadinejad is all what they want and all
they are: populist, leftist, against USA, nationalist, opposing the traditional
clergies,
mournful of Iranian greatness, revoloutionary... what else they want? How are
they different?
The fact is we Iranian society does not have serious intellectuals and a few
real intellectuals who can handle ideas and reasons are unknown and isolated.
Despite so much VER ZADAN, these "intellectuals" are not capable of
creating a solid political theory, in
which they themselves could believe.
