"I find the complexity of this language and its layered nature perpetually fascinating. It informs my sense of identity and expression and I am compelled to question ideologies on which it is based." Born in Iran in 1958, she moved to the United States for her studies in 1978 where she has been living ever since. She received her BFA from Academy of Arts, SF in painting and drawing in 1995 and her MFA in Printmaking from San Francisco Art Institute in 1999.
