A presidential campaign poster for Sadeq Qotbzadeh, one of Khomeini's
aides during the revolution who became head of the state radio and television
and foreign minister. The poster shows Khomeini and his aides on an Air
France flight from Paris to Tehran on February 1, 1979. Qotbzadeh was also
on that flight. A moderate politician, Qotbzadeh became a strong critic
of the excesses of the post-revolution era and was eventually executed
for allegedly plotting against the Islamic Republic.
