* Khodam
Khodam.. Dr. Ardeshir Bahreininejad (//www.bahreininejad.com).
I spent two years in Iran in 1997-99, carried out my military service where
I found so many friends and I was a symbol of down to earth PhD holder and
I received friendship from all sectors of people. More details on request.

* I am Iranian of the year
I do nominate myself as the Iranian of the year. It may sound selfish
but not too many Iranian people know me and what I have accomplished in
the past 32 years. I got married in Tehran in 1969 while I was a student
at Tehran university. Since then I have moved to the U.S., raised four daughters
by myself and received my Ph.D. And above all that, I went through a horrible
marriage and kept it for 30 years.
At the present time I am teaching at Louisiana State University while
doing research at Pennington Biomedical research Center. I have published
a number of journal articles and have given numerous presentations in the
field of food science. Three of my daughters are married and very successful
and one is living with me and is in 10th grade.
Fatemeh Malekian, Ph.D.
* Don't I deserve it?
I HAVE BEEN A SINGLE MOTHER FOR THE LAST 13 YEARS. WORKED HARD TO GET
MY SON TO FINISH HIS HIGH SCHOOL AND GO TO COLLEGE. I AM GOING TO SCHOOL
AND TRYING TO GET A DEGREE IN NETWORKING AND I HAVE LIVED A DECENT LIFE
WITH NO HELP AT ALL. DON'T I DESERVE TO BE THE IRANIAN OF THE YEAR?

* My Aunt Jenia
I nominate my dear Aunt Jenia Behnami as Iranian of the year. She lives
in Tehran and is now in her 70s. She has taken care of family and friends
for her entire life. She has remained in Iran during difficult war times
and death of family members. She is a true and loving aunt that is selfless
and deserves recognition. She is not political at all but has a deep respect
and love for faith and honesty. I cannot think of any person I know that
is more deserving. I know this type of award is usually given to a politician
or a man of religion. I think this year a woman should receive recognition.

* Sang paa Qazvin
My choice for the Iranian of the year is (former Intelligence Minister)
Ali Fallahian because he proves that SANG PAA QAZVIN is nothing compared
to his ROO.
Golnesa
* Mayor of Karaj
My Iranian of the year is His Royal Highness Mayor
of Karaj.
Karim Kashani
* Better than reformers
Iranian of the year is the leader of the Islamic Government, Seyyed Ali
Khamenei. We finally found an honest politician. He is a hardliner and power
hungary. He is an unashamed Machiavelian and is not afraid of showing what
he really is. The world of politics needs more people like him. Brutal,
but honest. Furthermore, in a hundred years, you will see that he helped
facilitate reforms much more than the reformers.
(Put Seyyed Hassan Rastgoo as the author of this letter please. I am
planning to go home sometime in the future, you know!)
* Very good murderer
I vote for: Ali Fallahian. As the head of Iran's secutity service he
performed fine and strong. He appointed Haj Saeed Eslami (Emami) as his
number two man and together they slaughtered Iran's intelectuals very nicely.
They intended to finish the job, but some traitors exposed them to the press
and stopped their very important project.
Mr. Fallahian has proved that he is capabale of commiting murder, torture
to purge the country from its intellectual forces. Since he is a candidate
for the presidency, I suggest that we make him our beloved leader for ALL
THE TIME. Ali Fallahian, Man of the Year, or better say Man of the Century.
David Galicia
* Croc of the year
Rafsanjani. The croc of the year who is more flexible than roaches and
rats in the art of survival.
Saeed R
* Montazeri
I vote for Ayatollah Montazeri
because by publishing his book on the Internet, he told the world the real
intention of the leadres of Islamic Republic of Iran.
Nemat from London
* President of Russia
In my opinion, the Iranian of the year is Mr. Putin, the president of
Russia, because he was the first person to get his "aidi" which
was seven billion dollars from Iran for military equipment. President Khatami
personally handed him the money.
Ebrahim Arzhang
* Nuke capability
Iran's chief of military acquisistions. The development of nuclear or
atomic capabilities put Iran on par with its enemy Israel and Iraq.
Jean Azarbal
* Cyrus Travel
I vote for Cyrus Beheshti founder of Cyrus Travel because of his commitment
to all Iranians for the past 20 years. His deals with the airlines have
allowed more Iranians to visit their homeland and their families at very
cheap prices. His tours to Iran for Americans was revolutionary in its own
right. His travel agency helps more Iranians get from here to there than
any other.
Alireza B
* She has courage
Catherine Bell
, the star of the TV show JAG is my Iranian of the year. She has the courage
to talk about her Iranian heritage with pride. In one episode of her weekly
show she did a story about Iran and spoke fluent Persian. She also talks
about her heritage in most talk shows.
S. Dahi
* Persistent
Zia from NITV. Good man. Persistent.
I wish him success.
Farshid Hassanzadeh
* Also a great person
My choice for Iranian of the year is definitely Leila Forouhar. Simply
because she's the best. She's an excellent singer, keeps her fans and everyone
happy. Also a great person.
Shanna
* I love Kamran
I LOVE KAMRAN FROM THE
BLACK CATS. I THINK HE'S THE IRANIAN NOT ONLY OF THE YEAR BUT OF ETERNITY!!!
:)
Almass
* Stayed the same for years
Iranian of the year is Dariush
Eqbali bcoz he has not forgotten his culture and where he is from. He
does not try to b what he's not. He has stayed the same Iranian Dariush
for years now. So I guess in my opinion he would be very good.... well I
would choose Googoosh as well...
Killer Girl
* Reed beh harchi...
