MANAMA, Bahrain (AP) - The U.S. Navy said today it was holding a Russian
oil tanker in the Persian Gulf while it does tests on oil found aboard
- ostensibly to see if it came from Iraq in violation of U.N. sanctions.
Royal Dutch/Shell Oil Co. said the oil on board was theirs and had come
