* Largest Zoroastrian world gathering
(Houston, TX -- December 1, 2000) This coming New Year season, Houston
will host the Zoroastrian religion's largest world gathering: The Seventh
World Zoroastrian Congress, from December 28, 2000 to January 1, 2001.
Over 2,000 scholars, artists, athletes, and participants from the U.S.
and around the world will convene at Houston's JW Marriott hotel.

* Helping refugees in the Washington area
When I took on heading the project of supporting the Iranian refugees
in the Washington area, it was because no one else volunteered. The next
day it hit me how perfect our decision was to support this group as an
immediate project. I talked with Paul Johnson, a very active volunteer
and Sonia LaFountain, volunteer coordinator/ resource developer with IRC
(International Rescue Committee which was founded by Albert Einstein in

This is an open invitation to Iranians (anyone, really) who lives in
the Nork York City area who would be interested in working on a creative
collaborative project focusing on some cultural aspects of the Iranian-American
experience.
The goal of this project is to write, act out, and film/record facets
of the Iranian experience in the US. If you are smart, funny, creative,
uninhibited, and willing to get together At Least twice a month, get a
hold of me. If you are all that AND you have a camcorder, definitely get
