Actually, Reza Pahlavi at National Press Club
By Karim Azari
March 5, 2001
The Iranian
"Did you see the Shah's son speaking at the Press Club a few days
ago?" I asked casually, making sure to use an impartial tone.
He raised his eyebrows and his jaw slowly dropped. His incredulity gave
me the impression that this was much bigger news than I initially thought.
"Ehhhh?" he replied, still awestruck. "You saw Shah Hassan
at de Price Club?" >>>

My friend
Reza Pahlavi's humility and friendliness has never changed
By Mihandoust
March 5, 2001
The Iranian
I have known Reza Pahlavi since we were both ten-years old. I come from
a middle-class, educated family. I did well at school. We had a common
teacher who recommended me to attend Reza's school. I am writing this because
I feel my compatriots may possibly gain some useful insight into the real
personality of one of their public figures >>>

* Eminem: Artistic expression
Iran Javid Fulton
writes: I liked your article and I like Eminem ["Here
& there"]. In response to my best friend's comment who said
she hopes her daughter will never be exposed to anyone like Eminem, I said
this: I know what you mean about his lyrics, but no matter what, he is
very talented and his choice of words are just an artistic expression.
His words are not any worse than the high action pact movies that are
out there that everyone loves, it's only in a form of music >>>

Poem
Translation of today's poem by Zara
Houshmand:
My heart wanted only a kiss from you;
The price you asked for that kiss was my soul.
Heart jumped in the deep and flowed alongside soul,
Advising, 'Close the deal. The price is cheap.'

Democratic process
I think we've never been much for the democratic process because of what
we went through in our country. We shy away from government because we were
[betrayed] by our own government.
