Aw Kaveh How sad
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Thu Mar 19, 2009 09:37 AM PDTIt's always "Us" and never "his highness". Our fault. We're just too dumb and stupid to appreciate Reza and his high class ways.
He's lucky to have you defending his "done nothing 'cept say happy norooz"
Also you get extra credit for connecting THIS to mollahs too :) Bravo!
P.S. to the person who says he doesn't need to apologize. If he takes seriously the possibility of being a "king", which he has said he does in his "speeches", then he better damn well apologize and recognize. That's how monarchy works. If the father fails, the family fails. It's a family affair. If he had any sense of democracy in his bones, he wouldn't prance around as the "crown prince" on fox news. Pahlavi = minister of large clown shoes
This is unreal
by Kaveh Nouraee on Thu Mar 19, 2009 09:29 AM PDTIt's amazing how one guy who has done absolutely nothing except talk gets some of you more wound up than an entire collection of akhoonds who have systematically raped and pillaged our country for the past 30 years.
Clearly he has touched a very raw nerve with some of you. OK, you're entitled to your feelings. But I have yet to hear him proclaim himself as heir to anything. I've never heard him advocate the return of the monarchy. I've only heard him call the elections in the IR a "farce" (which they are), and I have heard him express his wish for Iranians to be able to have open and transparent elections that will allow them to vote for the candidates they choose, rather than ones chosen for them by corrupt degenerates masquerading as clergymen.
So what if he's tight with AIPAC? The mollahs are tight with terrorists, and none of you are saying a word!
The mollahs tried to take OUR holiday from us and toss it in the trash bin on their way to turning Iran into Arabestan and there was just a mild uproar over it. Reza says "happy new year" on YouTube and some of you go sideways? WTF?
If he was claiming the throne, he wouldn't be referred to as the former crown prince or just Reza Pahlavi, which is how he refers to himself.
Here we go "again"...

My problem is that this guy is doing so as a self proclaimed heir to lost Iranian Throne.
I have news for you! He "is" heir to the lost iranian throne, for good or bad. He is the son of the last shah, isn't he?
He sees himself, ever so arrogantly, a true leader of Iran and Iranians.
When and where did he say that? Besides, what if he is saying that? Is he stealing that spot of leadership from anyone else? Who? Me? YOU? Is this another case of personal animosity and childish jealousy towards someone who has not harmed a fly, simply because he speaks?
In his entire life, whether in Iran or outside, has has done NOTHING for Iran.
What did YOU do for iran that he did not do? What did anyone else do for iran? Except for robbing iran and oppressing iranians or running away, like you and me?
Except going to bed with Iran haters such as AIPAC.
Here we go again! Change the subject and blame others. I have news for you: the biggest of iranian haters are islamic republic leaders and supporters with blood of some 550,000 iranians on their hands (500,000 dead in iran-iraq unnecessary khomeini war of personal agenda, 50,000 executions in 30 years) and embezzlement and wastage of 1 trillion dollars of iranian wealth and oppression of 70 million iranians. With friends like islamists, who needs any haters or enemies? With IRI, there is not much room for enemies to do much against iran.
For this man to see himself as future leader of Iran, for the mere fact of being borne to Mir5 family is an insult to all the true kings and queens Iran has produced.
So he is bad because he is from Mir5 family? Okay, since you are from Mir6+ family, you must be better than him and tell us what YOU have done for iran that Mir5 did not do?
I have news for you! If there is such thing as "true kings and queens Iran has produced", then I assure you that as soon as IRI is dissolved, the Reza Khan Mir5 will be right there close to the top of the list of great iranian kings, if for nothing, but for stopping disintegration of iran and providing a system of education that gave you and me the opportunity to prosper and ultimately bite the hand that fed us. Iranians within who have to deal with IRI day in day out on empty stomachs already mention the name of pahlavis with respect and long for when they reigned; only iranians without with full stomachs and comfy homes still have the stamina to care for their iranian emotions and self-righteous attitudes that brought us where we are.

by Rajab. (not verified) on Thu Mar 19, 2009 08:37 AM PDTConcerned- Iranian and Anonymous111: you are so right, thank you, and happy Norooz!
Let's face it, nothing better describes the islamic republic's achievements of the past 30 years, who came to power by slogan of justice for poor, and supported by all the fools on the right, on the left, and so-called intellectuals, better than the following pictures, which deserve to be framed and looked at everyday as our own doing of the past 30 years:
//www.payvand.com/news/09/mar/1075.html
We have to face the reality that we made a bad mistake, when we swapped a glass 90% full with one 90% empty.
All the leaders of the devolution were deceivers who did not give a damn about iran or iranians, but their whole mission was to rule and be in control of iranian wealth, and all the rest were fools who blindly followed them. And the evidence was right in front of iranians, from writings of khomeini who did not believe in curing ills of iran but rather had a deep personal animosity for the shah, to his first comment as he entered iranian space that he had no feeling after years of exile.
We lied to ourselves: we screamed for decades that shah was a "dictator" and a month later chanted that "rahbar faghat roohollah". Ohhhh, shah was so awful that he set up "hezbe rastaakhiz", but then scramed that "hezb faghat hezbollah" and beat on whoever disagreed. Ohhhh, shah was a murderer, but now we know that khomeini killed in single day more than shah killed in his entire regime according to both baghi and montazeri. Ohhh, shah had so many innocent prisoners, but once those prisoners were free, they turned into likes of rafsanjanis, khameneis, rajavis, all far more atrocious than the shah, and with all standing behind criminal activities of khomeini and none showing any sign of morality and justice, with the hope that they can have a hand in ruling iran and control of her wealth.
A country is built or destroyed by its citizens, but we keep blaming all others except for ourselves, the enemy within.
Why did we do this to ourselves and our country is beyond me.
Point is
by capt_ayhab on Thu Mar 19, 2009 08:27 AM PDTMost everyone, with all due respect, who rather see this message as being innocent and without any agenda, do not see the points the other group, i.e. myself and Ms. Marge are trying to make.
Firstly it appears that majority do share the sentiment that Reza 1/2Pahlavi is irrelevant. Why is it so I ask you?
My personal view is not the message per se, since Eid is our most important of pure Persian traditions. Reza 1/2Pahlavi, is entitles to express his wishes as any other citizen. My problem is that this guy is doing so as a self proclaimed heir to lost Iranian Throne. He sees himself, ever so arrogantly, a true leader of Iran and Iranians.
In his entire life, whether in Iran or outside, has has done NOTHING for Iran. Except going to bed with Iran haters such as AIPAC. For this man to see himself as future leader of Iran, for the mere fact of being borne to Mir5 family is an insult to all the true kings and queens Iran has produced.
Kaveh, When I answered your question by saying he has done NOTHING for Iran, this is exactly what I mean. Should he be held responsible for actions or lack thereof his father?
Answer is YES. Yes because he proclaims to be the heir to the throne. In doing so, he IS responsible for actions of everyone in Mir5 ilk. That includes his corrupt uncles, and mafia aunt. He is held responsible for the same reason he claims the throne, and that is he WAS borne to the family who betrayed Iran and Iranians.
Mr/Ms Concerned Iranian. you say [ The first step toward healing and rebuilding our Motherland IRAN is to
admit to our own initial deadly mistake called Islamic Devolution and

We must take responsibility for that!!! Unfortunately, so far not only
too many have not confessed nor apologized, but instead they still
continue their ignorant and deadly attacks in every aspect!!!]
Since when the VICTIM[Iranians] have to apologize for being real victims? Reza Junet ke took the money and ran, and living lavishly abroad. The VICTIMS[Iranian people] have remained back and are exposed to daily atrocities by akhunds. Are you suggesting that these people have to apologize to this Reza 1/2Pahlavi for having suffered for 30 years? 30 years of misery which was brought upon us by his god forsaken family. Seems that you do not realize that it was his fathers incompetence which greatly contributed to this genocide.
Dude you are the one that needs mental help, not the people of Iran. [khoda shafaat bedeh] ;-)

And I don't think he should apologize for the actions of his father. First, he was only a child during the majority of his father's reign (and therefore could not be have taken part in any of his father's acts---and there is actually no evidence of such), and second, I believe in the principle that no child should be held responsible for the acts of his parents.

Dear "Anonymous Observer"
by MiNeum71 on Thu Mar 19, 2009 08:12 AM PDTI´m really much too far from being a supporter of these Islamic scumbags. But there is a good reason, why I ignore the money stolen by IRI in discussions. It´s because of the expectations.
Reza Pahlevi acts the promise. He thinks he is the great liberator who can release Iranians from the captivity of the Mullahs. And what´s happening? He can´t jump over the bar, which he himself set too high for himself.
I harshly criticise him because (as I wrote before) he still hasn´t asked for forgiveness because of his father´s misdoings. I know these weren´t his misdoings, but there is something called "moral responsibility" and
"collective responsibility". An intelligent and believable political leader must have done this.
Btw.: It´s true, the Monarchy was better than the IR, but this not a competition for better marks. Both were failures (F and F-).

by Anonymous111 (not verified) on Thu Mar 19, 2009 07:35 AM PDTEvery summer, the Iranian leftist intelligencia (i.e., former Ehya Confederation gang) , status quo supporters, people who are looking for cheap “taryak”, etc. travel to Iran for the summer. They spend a month or two over there, drink the IRI coolaid, and return to their comfy pads in the west to tell the rest of us on this site how Iran is getting better and better every day, how women can show a few strands of hair now from behind their hejab, how many “buildings” have been built in Tehran (that one is a personal favorite of mine), how Mr. Ahmadinejad is a man of the people and how “Zionists” are afraid of Iran now. In the process, they of course “forget” the political, economic and human rights clusterf***k that the is the IRI, where just two days ago a blogger died in Evin prison. They also limit their journey to North Tehran, and ignore the plight of the average Iranian in all other parts of Iran. That is their contribution to their country…..
PS, I almost forgot…on their way to Iran, they also stop by Dubai for some sight seeing and shopping!

by Anonymous Observer on Thu Mar 19, 2009 08:14 AM PDTI second your thoughts. May I add a couple of observations. I, personally, have never been a fan of monarchy. I have always believed that it has no place in a politically and socially advanced society, even if it is a powerless figurehead like the Queen of England (in which case it is an absolute waste of money as well).
To me, Reza Pahalavi, in particualr, is irrelevant. But apparently, he remains very relevant to the same people who so despise him. Just look at the number and intensity of these comments about a harmless Nowrouz message. The guy sent a "happy new year" message, and they are tearing themselves apart. Soooo, to them, he is much more relevant than they claim.
Another interesting thing is that they always bitch about how much money the Shah "stole" from the Iranian people, while ignoring the fact that for the past 30 years an equal (or greater) amount of money has been sent on monthly basis to hezbollah, hamas, islamic jihad, and any other two bit lunatic fringe organization in the world by the IRI. I guess that's not "stealing" Iranians' money.
So, people, get a grip. The guy recorded a new year's greeting, just like many people on this site have posted new year's greeting. If he hadn't done so, then you would be the first ones on this site blaming him for forgetting Iran and its people! For God's sake, someone even blamed him for not sending money to Bam's earthquake victims!!!! If you think he is irrelevant, then don't listen to the message. I think he's irrelevant, and didn't listen to his message until I saw all of these comments and wanted to see what the fuss was all about. Your fascination with him though shows that he is much more relevant to you that you think.

Honestly, what would anyone in this world with a Right mind and a decent conscious call that?
You are too kind to use the word "Smart" Dooste Aziz, even though I understand and appreciated your sarcasm...
Saale Nou Mobarak,

To all wise iranians...
by Rajab. (not verified) on Wed Mar 18, 2009 10:55 PM PDTIranians think that they are pretty smart. Each considering him/herself smarter than all the kings and other citizens, so much that he/she cannot even tolerate seeing someone else expressing himself as we see here.
But iranians are not as smart as they think they are. Had they been barely smart, or smarter than the shah, they would not have been fooled by an indo-arab 7th century arabia mulla, aka Emam Khomeini, with only expertise in sex with animals and under-age girls, deceit, and murder, who could hardly compose a correct sentence in persian language.
Let me pose a question to all those who cannot even tolerate RP expressing himself: what have YOU done for your country besides running-away after goofing up in 1979 and being fooled by khomeini to replace shah with a long lasting disaster.
Okay, suppose shah was awful, but you replaced him with a regime far more repressive and backward, that even YOU could not tolerate. You criticizers failed to prove that you deserved any better than the shah, and failed to bring in a decent regime to the country, at least as half-decent as shah was in 30 years, in the same time period that likes of S.Korea and Taiwan and Brazil and tens of other countries manged to bring a decent life for their citizens under far worse conditions.
What did YOU do for iran besides seeing the face of the Emam on the surface of the moon, besides finding beard of Emam between pages of Qoran, besides responding to murders of khomeini in the first month after the revolution by screaming "roohe mani khomeini", besides confronting edict of Emam that women should wear hejab within a month of the revolution by being silent when women were attacked by islamic thugs, besides responding to closure of first newspaper and hanging of first newspaper editor by screaming "hezb faghat hezbollah", besides...
RP has not done anything for iran, but at least he did not participate in bringing the disaster of 1979 to millions of iranians, at least he enjoys being grand son of a man who saved iran from disintegration, and at least he enjoys being son of a man who reigned over the best days of peaceful iran for centuries, without whom, the pahlavis, you would probably be working in poppy fields in a disintegrated iranistan as afghanis do today.
You think you are pretty smart, but events of the past 30 years have shown otherwise. Remember, only 2% of iranians had the wisdom, the foresight, and the courage to recognize and reject the Zahhak that was about to descend upon them, to enslave them, to kill their youths by tens of thousands, and to rob the wealth of the country for decades to come; only 2% voted NO to the islamic republic. Were you smart (wo)man one of them?
