That ship has sailed
by Tesla (not verified) on Wed Mar 18, 2009 06:49 AM PDTIts nice to show your face once in a while in the safety of digital media and try to act like a leader. But what you've shown everyone as far as your leadership, Mr. Pahlavi, and a buck and a half won't even buy you a decent cup of coffee. That ship has sailed, aghajan. Don't make fools of us nor yourself anymore.
Eydeh shoma ham mobarak. Now go back to being a good husband.
is nourooz, lets be happy for a change
by gorgani (not verified) on Wed Mar 18, 2009 06:31 AM PDTas an Iranian he has a right to express himself, why all the insults and hate, how could you put a country back together if all of you hate each other so much, I think many of you are confused about your nationality and culture. please stop the hate and negativity and act like the way a proud Iranian would ,don't forget : pendar nick, kerdar nick va raftar nick.
happy nourooz to all Iranians and long live Iran
OMG
by MiNeum71 on Wed Mar 18, 2009 06:31 AM PDTIf "Iranians still love, respect and miss your father and grandfather", then they show they deserve these Islamic assfaced scumbags.
Btw: His father was a big failure, an evil and his regime was an oppressing one, many people were tortured and killed. If he doesn´t want to be put in touch with Shah´s political carreer, then he should remember that his imperial title and his financial possibilities are also a product of Shah´s political carreer. Did he terminate or give back?
Human rights refers to the basic rights and freedoms to which all humans are entitled. It is universal and not cultural relativ. Respect and high mindedness bring us to terms called "moral responsibility" and "collective responsibility". He is not responsible for his fathers misdoings. But if this guy wanted to be believable (specially in talking about human rights in Iran), he had to apologize in his name with words like "Shah did many mistakes because he didn´t know it better, we want to ask for forgiveness in his name".
Non of the Pahlevis deserve a kingship.
LOL since this is where the comments are going
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Wed Mar 18, 2009 06:18 AM PDTAli - if this is about Reza as a leader because he wishes people happy norooz (HAHAHAHA what a sincere, non political message - 'hey eyeranians! don't forget me! i'm still iranian! love you, reza)........ then that's hilarious.
Also Ali Jan, if you compare him to a bunch of butchers, sure, he seems nice. So does almost ANYONE else. He just happens to be iranian and came out of the womb of a woman who married a king. Hooray for Reza le petit prince! Happy new year forever to him.
Loved the video production
by ghalam-doon on Wed Mar 18, 2009 07:12 AM PDTEspecially the ending where they had used a mobile phone or some cheap camera to create a very dramatic image. These people are really running out of money. He might even be forced to get a real job soon.
Also there is another Shah out there who can claim the throne of the Imperial Iran. His name is Soltan Ali Mirza and the rise of his great grandfather was more legitimate than the rise of this guy's grandfather:
//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ali_Mirza_Qajar
So I say long live Soltan Ali Mirza!
So much Kineh, Oghdeh and gibberish
by Disgusted (not verified) on Wed Mar 18, 2009 05:12 AM PDTShame on those who are still stuck in the past with so much personal hatred and deeply rooted complexes that they cannot even see that their country of birth and origin is being destroyed and pillaged by those turbaned creatures while they're sitting behind their pcs barking at this guy.
Shame, shame and more shame on you. Now go and vote for Moussavi. You do not deserve any better.

by Kurdish Warrior (not verified) on Tue Mar 17, 2009 11:57 PM PDTfor what his father did to many of us minorities. HOWEVER he is not his father and I believe he has potential to unite many opposition groups. Monarchy won't ever be reinstated and I think he knows that. I know that his vision of future Iran has changed. Lets see more action than talk.

I hate this guay and his father
by Seagull9 (not verified) on Tue Mar 17, 2009 10:55 PM PDTWhen these people were in power they did nothing for the baha'i plight. They also persecuted the baha'is like the mullas are doing now. I hate this guy and his father who secretly supported the mullas to persecute the baha'is.
what's wrong with this beautiful message
by IRANdokht on Tue Mar 17, 2009 10:38 PM PDTPlease get off your high horses and listen to a nice message and say Happy Norouz to you too!

Not him
by Anonymous-9977 (not verified) on Tue Mar 17, 2009 10:17 PM PDTHe is too weak to be the king of Iran. He beleives in Islam and koran. He gaved his children Arabic names. He said nothing to the Arab reporter(from Alvatan) who was interviewing him when the reporter used the fake name for the Persian Gulf. I'm sure if his grand father(Reza Shah) was there he would slap the Arab reporter and would.....him.
Thanks but no thanks

We don't need Reza Pahlavi...
by Ali P. on Tue Mar 17, 2009 09:26 PM PDTwhen we have all these potential leaders who'd love to lead us :
Ayatollah Montazeri, Ganji, Yazdi, Rafsanjani, Sazgara, Khatami, Maryam and Massoud Rajavi, Banisadr, Karubbi and many others who set up this system and now promise to make everything good again, if we just give them a chance!
Do not be fooled by this guy Reza Pahlavi
by Anoyed (not verified) on Tue Mar 17, 2009 09:11 PM PDTHe is a delusional guy still leaving in dreams. He has never denounce monarchy and all he is looking for is to go back and be crowned.
Even though Iranian people hate Mullahs and Islamic Republic, still they rather deal with these crazy Mullahs than crazy Monarchs.

Respect the Grandson of Reza Shah Kabeer
by Namak-Shenaas (not verified) on Tue Mar 17, 2009 08:44 PM PDTHe is the grandson of Reza Shah e Kabeer. He has earned and deserves our respect.
We owe everything good that we have in Iran to his family.
To those who post negave comments in response to this peaceful New Year message
:
I say don't be so namak nashnaas and petty. And if you dont like what this family has done for Iran why are you living outside of Iran now that this family has not ruled iran for the past 30 years?
If they were so bad why can't you live in Iran now?!
Don't be a hypocrite! Grow up! Thanks to your stubbornness and shortsighetedness, Iran has been stuck with the IRI.
Aboli, shut the hell up! He died for his country as we would!
by gol-dust on Tue Mar 17, 2009 10:04 PM PDTRevolution was about the individuals who got together and sacrifised their lives for Iran's INDEPENDENCE AND FREEDOM which unfortunately got none! Actuallly, they were betrayed and got the finger from the Mollahs who are disgrace to Islam, Iran and the Iranians! I wish they all go to hell along with a traitor like you and all the enemies of Iran!
He lost his life for the love of his country and his belief as did millions of other Iranian who loved their country. Why is that so damn suprising to you?
I am glad he is not here to see what a mess these mollah made!Unfortunately, this regime screwed things up so badly that the chicken Reza Jr. who is so scared that he doesn't even appear in the video, has the nerves talking about returning to Iran! These people are really out of touch and in a drem land!
Long live our beloved Iran and Iranian lovers! Independence and freedom for Iran! Zendeh baad Iran!

His Grandfather...
by NoorzetoonMobarak (not verified) on Tue Mar 17, 2009 07:10 PM PDTHis grandfather was the greatest leader we ever had and likely ever will have. He did things for our country that we would not have today had it not been for him like aram gahe kourosh, etc. He had guts, loved his country with a passion and stood up to all foreigners who tried to get in his way. And whether you like him or not, you have to admit that it has not been an easy life for him either leaving your homeland suddenly at that age, his sister's death, and the endless criticism that comes his way about his father. I wish him and his family a prosperous new year and hope that they will be able to return to our homeland one day simply as Iranians, nothing more, nothing less.
