i'm amazed at your logic:

if ahmadinejad truly got the votes, he's the president. check.

otherwise, if you protest, you deserve the chomagh. not check.

you know what happens with thugs like under the regime change, i hope you're a koon-goshad,  otherwise, the chomagh will really hurt.

My advice to you is not to get ahead of yourself. Before it is to late have a look at the history and  see how the Iranian people took care of thugs like you.

One picture

by KayvanF (not verified) on

Well, it descended into Planet of the Apes

I have posted that comment on NYT/WSJ for weeks, and it was filtered here as maybe too ‘un-pc’ or racist.

The black clad storm-troopers are exact copies of the Plant of the Apes.

The regime was formed by uneducated thugs 30 years ago. In those days every morning, the news would announce another 50 Generals (all educated, some with MIT, Harvard PhD’s) were executed today. That’s were this generation of leaders came from.

And, thats were they will end.

When ballots are denied, bullets will follow.

They say the entire Revolution of ‘79 was started over one newspaper picture of one of the Shahs soldiers shooting a rifle at point blank range at an unarmed protester. That picture was on the front cover of every newspaper and in days the Shah fled and his ministers were hanging from lightpoles.

Wait.

One picture will do it.

I TOLD YOU SO

by Areyo Barzan (not verified) on

Well, I guess the only good thing coming out of this whole affair is the fact that the by now closet IRI supporters and Ansaar e Hezbollah on this site are finally revealing their true and ugly faces and coming out from behind the “reformist” masks. I hate to remind the rest of you guys but I need to emphasize the fact that “I TOLD YOU SO”.

In several responses I told you that the IRI do not give a monkey about Iranian youth, their vote or their demands and it has no intention to reform. All they wanted was to get the young people to the voting boots, so that they can cash on it by showing it to the world as an endorsement of their dictatorship by Iranian young generation. And guess what, they have achieved it too.

As Khamene-ey himself said that “The mass participation of young people in the election was noting but the endorsement of the yes vote that their parents gave to The Islamic Republic thirty years ago”.

However, what is done is done now. By now it should be cleared to any honest patriot Iranian (however tick they might be) that the IRI is not reformable at all. Further more neither Mosavi nor any other insider can bring any significant change let alone reforming an irreformable dictator regime.

Now that the people have come to the street they have to stay there until total annihilation of the IRI and its tugs. This is now a golden opportunity and if we miss it we would be doomed to another thirty years of the same if not worse.

Suri

by Dariush (not verified) on

Thanks suri, for the good news.
I also hope he makes the right decisions, cleans the system and looks after the well being of all Iranians from any religion, ethnicity, social status, gender or color.

He should do the president's duty and leave the religion to the clergy.

He should take control of all the armed forces to prevent any misuse by special interests and confrontation.

He should create a just system and make sure there is no harm to Khatami, Mousavi or any other opposition and their supporters. I hope unlike his first term he starts his second term by releasing the political prisoners who haven't harmed anyone. He might think this will increase the oppositions, but in reality it will win the heart of the real reformists in addition to his election and all his supporters, and even many oppositions.
This will show, what he stands for. Then the freedom of speech and women equal rights (including the mandatory service for two years in armed forces for women who are interested in armed resistance, like LalehGillani), then freedom of press and some others will fill the gap.

United we can overcome any optical, divided we remain a prey.

I noticed the police took some beating from protesters, but didn't use lethal weapon. I haven't heard of any death and hope there is not any. This was the right decision and if Ahmadinejad wants to gain respect and trust, he must stay on the humanitarian path and continue making the right decisions. This will automatically benefit Iran and Iranians and increases his popularity.

Once he set his policies and started to created a just system, People will understand they must not turn a political activity to criminal or they must pay fines or go to jail and do hard labor.

Remember if people did not go to polls as people like you were advocating, none of these would take place. As I maintained, we didn't need foreign intervention to get rid of dictatores. When the time is right Iranian people take care of the business. This might be it , dictatores may have shot themeselves in the foot.

Down with dictatores.

I see my reply to you has not been published. So much for freedom of speech. JJ, you and many others are for freedom of speech so you can hear what you say, not to hear what others say. Now this is with a little control he has on this site, if you had control over a country God knows what you would become.
I don't have any problem living in Iran, I travel all the time and never had any problem. Maybe because I am not a spy, a traitor or a criminal. Why don't you buy a ticket for yourself and Farhad Kashani and join. I heard Israel said, they are ready to help you too. Don't forget LalehGillani's advice of armed resistance, but keep MEK in mind. By the way, when you are not happy with elections in your area, try to burn the buses and buildings and attack the police, this way you get your favorite official in office or change some of the laws you don't like.

Farhad Kashani,
Ask what you have done for your country, not what your country has done for you. This is what your Imam Kennedy said. At least listen to him.

Ahmadinejad is not perfect, but he has been a million times better than you for Iran, if I can even say that you are any good for Iran.
He has served millions of Iranians and yes, there has been some injustice, he will correct them once corrupt criminals who are sucking peoples blood are put away. They are the ones in addition to sanctions causing economical problems, misusing the justice system, created a Mafia organization that terrorizing others.

We heard from your leader in LA today. Their message for Iranians were, get out, fight, die so we can rule. Why don't you listen to them? Again, your life is too sweet?

These are Rafsanjani's final struggles to survive. If he can not assasinate Ahmadinejad and the negotiations don't work on Ahmadinejad, the only option left, is to escape to Canada or join his business partner Reza Pahlavi in U.S. otherwise, they face life in prison.
At least he will be with all his family in Jail.

Mousavi's biggest mistake was Rafsanjani's support and his false and wrong criticism from Ahmadinejad.
Just as said to LalehGillani, you don't make an opposition from criminals.

Iran ellection

by Hassan Sadegh (not verified) on

Election in Iran, unlike many western countries, is taken very seriously, is well recorded ,documented and no one can vote unless uses his/her ID card ( passport or Birth certificate) and his/her finger print. It is therefore impossible to claim that the election can be similar to that in USA, UK, Australia and subject to fraud. is easy to prove how many have voted and count for each and any vote, and every vote is traceable. I personally voted for Moosavi, and learnt how the voting procedure was. Every ballot paper can be traced to see who it was given to. To claim that the election has been subject to fraud is just ludicrous and nonsense.

Let us all keep our dignity and accept the outcome and the wish of the majority who have voted for Ahmadi Nejad. You can , if you wish, form a team and ask UN to check the authenticity of the election, but not trough violence and disturbing the peace and people’s life.

Based on these facts, It is now the responsibility of the government of Iran to maintain order and let people get on with their life. It is the government’s duty to use the full force of the law and deal with any arrogant who is trying to disturb the peace by helping the foreign powers or agents such as Western media in particular BBC or the American news media, who have noting in mind but to turn Iran into another Iraq or Afghanistan. It is time for the government of Iran to show strength and stop any hooliganism by a bunch of idiots who can not understand the sensitivity of the circumstances.

Hassan for freedom and fairness

Farhad Kashani

All are bad, but which one is worst?

by Farhad Kashani on

Dariush,

All IRI officials are the same s…t. However, different s…t stink differently.

In IRI we got two gangs, killers and businessmen who overlook killings. Khamenei and his gang are the killer ones, Rafsanjani is the thief and the businessmen group. Last I check, murder had a tougher punishment than stealing. So what Khamenei and his gang of fanatic, savage, uneducated Islamic thugs are doing is killing people and oppressing Iranians. Rafsanjani and his gang are using this opportunity to steal, and he gives some of his earnings to some in the “killer” group so he can keep continuing his plunder. That’s why he’s so influential, because he feeds many killers. However, the reason some in “killer” group like A-Nezhad and others are pissed about Rafsanjani is the fact that he is viewed as not a true “Enghelbai”, a true IRI gang member, which he’s truly not.

These old school religious fanatics like A-Nezhad view that as “crime” where as they themselves commits far more horrendous crimes against our people, but they wanna give this idea that the worst crime is “stealing”. Well, its not! Iranians understand that.

So any attempt to make Rafsanjani look more evil than Khamenei or A Nezhad or others is delusional. Yes they are part of the illegal and illegitimate murderous IRI regime, but the mole is Khamenei and his gang, no matter how “anti Rafsanjani” they are.

Salute to all the Iranian freedom fighters

by Farhad Kashani on

I like to salute all the brave men and women who are standing to oppression and religious Fascism by sacrificing all they got for freedom in our beautiful country.

May their struggle be a victorious one, for the sake of Iran and the whole world.

This Fascist regime will not go without a fight and they must go. Its time to rise. Its time to stand up. The hell with this circus they called “election”. We kept saying this is nothing but a sham. They will appoint whomever they want regardless, and most importantly, to what position are they appointing that person? To a powerless one.

Iranians, specially the ones inside of Iran, have realized that the future of Iran and the Iranian spirit and character are gradually dying under this regime. The world needs to support their struggle. For the sake Iran and for the sake of world peace.

God bless Iran.

@Darius: that's how I'm reading it too. This is a fight to the death between Rafsanjani and Khamenei. Its like choosing sides between bad and ugly, but I sure do dislike that Rafsanjani (CIA asset and clearly a traitor) even more than Khamenei.

Bacheh Mullahs are also now on BBC Persian discussing the finer points of "islam forbids making accusation behind a person not present", apparently having forgotten all their b.s. behind The Shah's back.

Given that the BBC and the global cabal is supporting the spread of disorder in Iran, and the high probability that nothing good can come (at this time) if Iran sinks into disorder again -- it is a country surrounded by the armies of a group that openly discusses the dismemberment of Iran along ethnic lines -- I am reluctantly finding myself rooting for Ahmadinejad.

I don't have any problem with living in Iran. because i am not drug addict, alcoholic, after people's namoos, or trying anything stupid. Why don't you and others spend the money and buy yourself a ticket and join the false movement and be used by Rafsanjani. Why don't you burn the bus and attack the police where you live and see what they will do to you?
Then you will see how your freedom will be respected.
I said it before, there is a foolish way to fight and there is a wise way. Go ahead take arms and start a civil war like you sister LalehGillani recommended and the MEK. we will see who will lose. Israel said, she is ready to help you. That should tell you a lot, if you got the brain to think. No other country, but Israelis love you and want to help you.

SCIENTIFIC POLLS PRIOR TO THE ELECTIONS

by Benji Makdisi (not verified) on

** SCIENTIFIC POLLS PRIOR TO THE ELECTIONS SHOWED AHMADINEJAD AS FAR AHEAD OF HIS RIVALS. **

For example, see the poll reported upon here

//mrzine.monthlyreview.org/iran110609.html

and here

//www.bi-me.com/main.php?id=37609&t=1&c=62&cg...

Ahmadinejad's success was no surprise. He was and remains more popular than his opponents.

Ahmadinejad has spent the last four years winning over the poor (and actually much of the middle class too) by offering loans, grants, and projects.

Furthermore, the man has charisma. Sadly, none of his three opponents had charisma.

The TV debates helped Ahmadinejad. I'm sad to say that his main opponent, Mirhossein Mousavi, was painful to watch. Mousavi started with a trembling voice, left many of his sentences unfinished, seemed nervous, got agitated easily, left some of Ahmadinejad's criticisms unanswered, and, most notoriously, constantly repeated fillers such as "you know" "um" "like" (In Persian: "chiz" "be-estelah" etc.).

The scientific poll cited above is consistent with polls by TFT (Terror Free Tomorrow) from a year ago that showed Ahmadinejad was very popular, as well as several credible polls in the meantime by neutral organization from Iran. The only polling organizations that put Mousavi ahead of Ahmadinejad was Mousavi's own campaign, but they never published the details, sampling methods, etc!
