The burst of publicity on the Iranian people’s peaceful freedom fighting has proven to be not always so peaceful through our television and laptop screens. In my house, such broadcasts are particularly poignant. YouTube videos are playing throughout the house, surrounding my parents and me with the sounds and struggles of the Iranian people’s bittersweet cries. We’re also surrounding ourselves with the sounds of loving and creative solidarity events like poetry readings and musical collaborations from all across the globe. Sometimes it feels like it’s all right here in my living room, right here in America>>>

آقای هاشمی که عمری است با توسل به حیله گری و قساوت، نظام و مرکزیت خود را در آن حفظ کرده است، با سرمستی ناشی از سی سال بر اریکه قدرت نشینی، قادر نیست که به این مسئله ی اساسی معترف شود که این مرتبه، این مردمند که تصمیم خواهند گرفت و به هیچ چیزی کمتر از برقراری عدالت و استقرار دموکراسی در ایران رضایت نخواهند داد. ولو او و دیگر سران نظام هم نخواهند که مانند شاه اعتراف کنند که ((صدای انقلاب ملت را شنیده اند))، این انقلاب آغاز شده است. خیزش جاری مردم فقط یک ((بحران)) گذرا نیست که با به مشهد رفتن آقای هاشمی و تجدید ((بیعت)) با علمای طرفدارش برطرف شود. آنچه در ایران در جریان است، یک انقلاب قوی مسالمت آمیز برای احیای غرور ملی پایمال شده ایرانیان است>>>
