I see that one day, not that far away, the war in the world will be fought in the media. It may be happening now (maybe I am seriously delusional). Anyway, I can see that historians will one day write about Iran and say, that Iran became Iran, the day when the mainstream media decided to not refer to the regime in Iran, and its activities as related to Iran.
Every time a report was written a caveat was put in. Every article that was written was written as if Iran was under occupation of an alien regime. So the word "Iran" was not used. Maybe the word "Iranian regime" was used at first. But as time went by every activity of the Islamic regime was referred to as "Islamic regime".
Slowly this attitude identified and isolated the activities of the Islamic regime as distinct from the activities of Iran and Iranians. Iranians became identified as different from the apparatus of the Islamic regime. A solution needed to be found, and the world decided to give the Islamic regime its own land, around Najaf. And we all lived happily ever after.

Didn't I tell you Mr Mostofi?
by Farah Rusta on Thu Dec 09, 2010 10:41 AM PSTThis is precisely what I had diagnosed for your condition. And now you have come to the same point. Do you need a reminder? Here you are:

You see, I possess stronger predictive powers than all your astrological mumbo jumbo sir.
BTW, I see my good friend Pirouz has agreed with me. He would wouldn't he? After all he is another deeply delusioned soul so he should know it well LOL!

by Parthianshot91 on Wed Dec 08, 2010 05:46 PM PSTYou are a middle-aged American who has never been to Iran, you can't even speak Persian, what do you know? stop talking out of nowhere boy.
Iranians hate this regime and should not be associated with these islamist leaches, that would be the best solution for America if they want the people on their side.

You are seriously delusional
by Sargord Pirouz on Wed Dec 08, 2010 05:35 PM PSTYou are seriously delusional to suggest that the IRIG is not representative of Iran.
But not to worry, there are a number of self-exiled, anti-Iran types here on the IC that suffer from similar delusions. So you have company, here among the diaspora.
I agree
by Parthianshot91 on Wed Dec 08, 2010 05:41 PM PSTSeperate the regime and Iran as a whole. Seriously, us Iranians always get pissed off when they say Iran and Iranians are doing these things. This regime has the least support from it's populace through out the whole world, so they should stop mixing theses shameless leach like islamists up with regular average Iranians, who want nothing to do with this regime.

Delusional indeed
by omid.piroozi on Wed Dec 08, 2010 12:46 PM PSTDo you really think that if media start referring to the current Islamic Regime in Iran as "Iran", then that will solve the problem and people in Iran will have a better life? Political prisoners will be freed? Students won't be repressed? There will be fair elections? IRGC won't smuggle drugs? The government won't support extremists in the region? Top intellectuals won't escape the country? etc...
