I have a simple question from those IC readers/writers who care to answer. I would like to know how many of you would say that your life is significantly different than two years ago? How about five years ago and how about from ten years ago? I would really appreciate if I can have good number of answers.

it is good .. (to Anahid)
by marhoum Kharmagas on Wed Nov 17, 2010 07:01 PM PST... it is good that you are showing some traces of humbleness, and hopefully you mean it!!! I do not need to prove to you that I am good-natured, my usage of 'kharmagasi' as an adjective in my last comment was equivalent to 'bad', I did not and do not claim I am good-natured!
Kharmagas 007
by Doctor mohandes on Wed Nov 17, 2010 10:43 AM PSTLikes to Vizz Vizz a lot...
Because his name is MAgas... Khar magas.
Yes magas. It is me. I missed you my man. I see that you are back doing your usual thing...
Another joke for Marhoum Kharmagas
by Anahid Hojjati on Wed Nov 17, 2010 09:27 AM PSTThey asked Kharmagas if you are khar, why can't we use you to carry things for us and what kind of magas are you which does not like sweets?
By the way, I wrote this joke all by myself.
marhoum, being good-natured is...
by Anahid Hojjati on Wed Nov 17, 2010 09:33 AM PSTMarhoum jan, being good natured is a heavy cross to bear. I can't compare my nature with you. Growing up, I was sweet or at least I think I was. However, life and especially revolution and immigration make a person not to be as sweet as they used to be or may be it is called getting older. But seriously, I can't know how good natured you are. I can only see your actions. You always write that I am not smart so how good natured is that?
good-natured poets! (to Anahid ....)
by marhoum Kharmagas on Thu Nov 18, 2010 06:39 AM PSTAnahid says: "If you replace communist with poet, I still believe in the saying."
Sure Anahid jaan, how about this:
Shaaeraan az sereshte vijehand (*)
However, only good natured poets are among those Shaaeraan, I seriously doubt that your nature is any better than my kharmagasi (i.e., BAD) nature, is it? ....honestly?
(*)- Only good-natured ones
marhoum, replace communist with poet,
by Anahid Hojjati on Tue Nov 16, 2010 08:08 AM PSTIf you replace communist with poet, I still believe in the saying.
Now, that is better! (to Anahid)
by marhoum Kharmagas on Tue Nov 16, 2010 07:20 AM PSTNow, that is good. An Anahid with a little sense of humor, instead of the uptight Anahid who took the following words of Stalin too seriously:
"maa comunist-ha az sereshte vijeh-im"!!!
Marhoum Kharmagas, a joke about you I just saw on facebook

Dear Azarin, this is such a significant change...
by Anahid Hojjati on Tue Nov 16, 2010 04:21 AM PSTAzarin jan, Indeed, becoming a writer after dreaming about it qualifies as a significant change. Now, there will be milestones for you that we can all celebrate. Thanks for writing in general and thanks for commenting on this blog.
Is it too late to answer?
by Azarin Sadegh on Tue Nov 16, 2010 02:22 AM PSTThanks for asking, Anahid!
Well, my life has drastically changed in the last two years, but the change is not very obvious for those who don't know me. But for me the difference is like day and night: Two years ago I was a software engineer dreaming about becoming a writer...and today I am a writer with a software engineering day job!
Voila!
My IQ! (to Anahid)
by marhoum Kharmagas on Mon Nov 15, 2010 05:32 PM PSTAnahid says: "Your IQ must be above 180 and as such...."
Anahid jaan, my nane never sent me for IQ evaluation, but I doubt my IQ is higher than yours ........, and yes it is not very common, but having an IQ less than yours is also possible!
Dear 13th, thanks for exchange of thoughts
by Anahid Hojjati on Mon Nov 15, 2010 12:15 PM PSTYou seem to be a very wise and nice person. It is fantastic to exchange thoughts with you.

by 13th Legion on Mon Nov 15, 2010 11:44 AM PSTAnahid,
Your welcome, but my comment was not an advice!! For I am no expert to want to give advice nor did you ask me for my advice nor did I in any words or with any intension state anything like “my advice to you is…” just sharing and communicating my personal and limited experience that was related to the topic of conversation…look at it as an “exchange of thoughts and personal experiences”
Nothing more, nothing less.

by yolanda on Mon Nov 15, 2010 11:41 AM PSTHi! MK,

Anahid & Yoland a Jaan
by 13th Legion on Mon Nov 15, 2010 10:23 AM PSTAnahid Jaan,
No one is perfect, and the truth is that we live in a world that for the most part is ruled by untamed human nature that is so quick on judging and criticizing others and I have gradually learned to at times use other peoples judgments and criticisms as to gage my personal ethics, I try to be patient and listen to what they say, if I find any truth and value in their words I try to use it to my benefit and improve myself, if not I simply fast forward and move on, the best remedy for not letting false judgment, criticism and nonsense not to get the better of me is to simply fast forward I ignore it for when we deprive such views of giving it our energy we take the life and power away from its origin! Everything feeds from the energy we are willing to give to it ;)) when you think of it sometimes the most painful and most effect remedy is to be ignored! I would also like to ad that I have personally found that what often motivates me to do right to others and try my best to respect their rights has been through the discovery of one of life’s most universal golden rules “the law of action & reaction” the proven and universal reality that every thought, action and word depending on the true intention and quality of thought that originates it will eventually come back to its originator with the same quality of energy, sometimes tenfold ;) and that what we think , say and do to others we are really doing to ourselves ;) unfortunately they don’t teach the ethical side and value of this in the schools and universities (yet) and we normally learn such things on our own spiritual quest and path to self discovery and many trials and errors ;)
Yolanda jaan,
You are a very lovely and cultured soul; I find your patients and ethics to be very inspiring :)
It a pleasure to meet you here on IC ;)
marhoum, tarjomeh of your last comment, ?
by Anahid Hojjati on Mon Nov 15, 2010 08:34 AM PSTPlease tarjomeh your comments to me, marhoum, Your IQ must be above 180 and as such, i don't get your comments. You know you are so clever that Nobel prize winners are jealous of you.
The Yolanda story!?
by marhoum Kharmagas on Mon Nov 15, 2010 07:24 AM PSTYolanda, my comment to you was in response to your comment that you deleted. The one that is just a dot now. Your condescending comment. Can you please post it again?
Anahid, I don't post as multiple people. Questioning your intelligence, I am guilty of, insulting your intelligence you are guilty of......

by yolanda on Mon Nov 15, 2010 06:44 AM PSTHi! Anahid,
You are intelligent and wise!
Thank you again for your great blog!

by yolanda on Mon Nov 15, 2010 08:12 AM PSTHi! 13th Legion,
There are so many great Persians and great Iranians I deeply admire... like Rumi, Avicenna, Khayyam, Hafez, Saadi, Al-kwarizmi....Majid Tavakoli, Ahmad Batebi, Farzad Kamangar, Sakineh's lawyer,..........great people on IC......the partriotic, courteous, fun-loving, knowledgeable, compassionate, sincere, and humble people on this thread.....because of that........I think I can handle a couple of critical posts in cyber-space.............everything is ok!
Thank you for your super kind post! I hope you have a lot of blessings everywhere......in heaven and on the earth!
Please take care!
dear 13th Legion, some of this is way over my head
by Anahid Hojjati on Mon Nov 15, 2010 04:52 AM PSTdear 13th, I am not a complicated person. Some of these posts is way over my head and overwhelms me. I like to know who I am talking to, that is who I am. With some people, it is easy to know who they are even if they use different names or even if you don't know but the person has good intentions. However, there are instances that these multiple names become a game for people which I don't appreciate and this is the case with Marhoum Kharmagas. First, he/she is always or many times is insulting my intelligence which is fine. I don't care but then what is he/she really thinks that he is achieveing on IC? I don't see a point to his postings.
Anahid
by 13th Legion on Mon Nov 15, 2010 12:20 AM PSTit’s a great blessing you didn’t get involved with this psychotic bug,
If he’s like this on line, I could only imagine what a nut job he’d be in real life ;))
Yolanda, my compliments on your grace and ethics when dealing with the cream of the crap of the Persian culture, a camel would have had better manners ;))
......
by yolanda on Sun Nov 14, 2010 07:13 PM PSTThank you, marhoum Kharmagas, for your post!
It makes me humble!
good nite!
khanome Yolonda!
by marhoum Kharmagas on Sun Nov 14, 2010 05:21 PM PSTYolanda says: "I admit that I don't understand the Finglish part of your post."
Not surprised, and it is not just the "Finglish" part that you did not understand! When you can't understand the difference between Wisdom and intelligence, you may have a difficult time understanding others as well.
Here is the link for wisdom: //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wisdom ..., and don't hurt your brain, my 9 year old also does not get the difference (and his IQ is 145+, not because of me but because of his mom).
BTW, Kharmagas (*) is a guy, it appears you were too slow in that regard too (did not get that from the context)
(*) Was a character in a book.

Dear 13, thanks. Yes, we can
by mitra northcal on Sun Nov 14, 2010 11:47 AM PSTDear 13th Legion, as you wrote;"all we can do is try our best."

by Anahid Hojjati on Sun Nov 14, 2010 03:12 PM PSTTo Marhoum Kharmagas, yolanda is right about Sunday and how people have too much free time on Sunday.
Anahid jaan, Anahid jaan!
by marhoum Kharmagas on Sun Nov 14, 2010 11:05 AM PST"I must have been intelligent ..."
Anahid jaan-e aziz:
Moshk aanast ke beboiad, na aanke attaar begoyad!
Not bitter by any means, more or less we like you anyway. BTW, none of you good Shaaers refreshed my memory about the shaaer and the she'r:
nime omram dar pashimaani beraft
nime digard dar parishaani ....
Khaanome Yolanda, you did not read my whole comment! Also,as far as I know wisdom and intelligence are not exact synonyms. Many intelligent people lack common sense, many people with 145+ IQ are examples of that.
yolanda, you are so funny with your proof.
by Anahid Hojjati on Sun Nov 14, 2010 09:41 AM PSTThanks, you are amazing.
