I felt a hard kick on my behind.
I took my head out of sand to see who my attacker was.
I was not too surprised to see that Life was getting ready
for one of his old favorite tricks again.
"Not again" I said trying not to look at his face.
"Oh yes, it is time for another round." Life said looking at me with his familiar lecherous eyes.
Having known Life for many years and having been screwed by him numerous times,
I got into his favorite position. He looked happy and started.
"Don't nag or complain since this one is going to take time,
seven years to be exact." He warned, smiling.
"What about the good and happy times you let me have not long ago?
Why did you give me those experiences if you were going to do this
to me now?" I managed to ask with a shaky voice.
"Those were lubrications for this." He said, already breathing quite heavily.
I turned my face and looked around me. I was not alone. There were millions of others lying down
and getting screwed by Life. They were men, women, children, and even
infants, attesting to Life's cruel, heartless, and unjust nature.
I also saw millions who were standing around completely oblivious to our pain and suffering.
Not a finger was raised, or a helping hand extended.
They carried on with big smiles and happy faces, while unbeknownst to them, being lubricated by Life.
Poor souls had no idea what awaited them.

by bajenaghe naghi on Fri Nov 20, 2009 07:27 PM PSTThank you for reading and making me think about looking at this using a bell curve.
Thanks for an enigmatic and philosophical blog
by khaleh mosheh on Fri Nov 20, 2009 02:43 PM PSTLife is a bell shaped curve and most folk are somewhere in the middle of it,
with extremes of the curve having less people,
//www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5hAIVOLsH-iy5bOsKy2a3bcMQVRsAD9C2SDP80
and compare with
//www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/news/a187680/jennifer-grey-speaks-about-swayze-death.html
So the answer to whether life is a bitch or not, comes down to a value judgment about the middle of the curve. If you are living in Iran, the middle is still tough- In the west, its probably ok IMHO..
Thank You
by bajenaghe naghi on Fri Nov 20, 2009 10:50 AM PSTAli jan, thank you for your comments. I would like to also add this as a correction to your assertion about the lack of lubricants in your younger days. God first created man and then He from man's ribs created woman. No sooner had He created woman who was very temperamental and not always giving, God created saliva!
Yolanda jan, thank you very much for your remarks.
Princess jan, I hear you are back home. Welcome back! I thank you for your comments. Life has a funny way of dealing with people. At its worst, its wrath seem to come in huge waves, affecting sections of population or some geographic location. If you are one of those people in its waves of destruction, you are in real trouble. It shows no mercy. No matter how optimistic or cheerful a person you may be, you have little chance of surviving its rage. An example of what I mean may be what happened to the Jews in Europe during the Second World War.
Anahid Hojjati jan, thank you very much for reading and your comments.
Bajenagh, I really like the message stated in your blog
by Anahid Hojjati on Fri Nov 20, 2009 04:40 AM PSTI like the message that you state in your blog. It is simple but profound. It is also a message that is easy to forget or at least not act upon. We Iranians have had more than our share of life troubles in past few decades and it is always good to be reminded of importance of helping each other. There are also millions of Iranians in Diaspora who are doing well so at least in Diaspora, if someone faces troubles, there are enough resources to take care of their problems. It is the matter of haves helping have nots. By have and have nots, I am certaily not writing only about financial resources.

by Princess on Fri Nov 20, 2009 02:27 AM PSTBajenagh jan,
I really enjoyed this piece and thanks for the laugh!
I am not sure if I agree with your idea that life is out to get us, but I totally agree with you that we should help each other in the hour of need. Life might not be a lollipop but its always our attitude towards it and our compassion for fellow human beings that makes the difference.
Have a lovely weekend!

by yolanda on Fri Nov 20, 2009 10:57 AM PSTDear BN,
Thank you for answering my question! Thank you!!! Now I understand more what you meant....I agree with you that we all face difficulties in life, but everyone has totally different problems.......everyone is different......I also agree with you that we should try to help other people....but sometimes.....the problems are very complicated....the people involved have to figure things out themselves....I am not trying to be cold here.....the world is very very complicated....Thank you for your article....it really makes me think!
thanks,

by bajenaghe naghi on Thu Nov 19, 2009 09:48 PM PSTThank you for reading and your comments.
onlyinamerica jan, you are very correct in saying that we are all going to get it. Getting it from life is a human thing and sooner or later we all get it.
Yolanda jan, I wish I were clever and smart enough to write anything philosophical. What this tries to say is that we humans are very vulnerable and sooner or later succumb to difficulties that are forced upon us by life. It also suggests that we should try to help each other in times of difficulty.

by onlyinamrica on Thu Nov 19, 2009 07:55 PM PSTI liked your analogy. We all get lubricated and then reamed royaly by Mr life sooner or later. No matter in what position we are. No body is exempt either.

by yolanda on Thu Nov 19, 2009 07:34 PM PSTHi BN,
I am glad that you have returned triumphantly and scored sky-high on the life-span test....
Your article seems to be very philosophical......I am not sure if I understand 100% what you wrote....was you article referring to marriage ? temptations?
If my question is a rude question or you don't feel like to give away the hidden message of your article, you don't have to answer my question.
Thanks,

Abarmard, I am glad you found a positive in all that mayhem. You must be an optimistic person by nature.
Yolanda, it did refer to those who do not notice people's suffering.
