Why Do I think the Military strike on Iran looms over the horizon!
First when I saw IT, it was 3 or so weeks ago.
It was a beautiful early spring morning on 6 Am, in my pajamas sipping at my favorite morning drink[hot cup of stout Java – black] with my favorite newspaper, Washington Post[No I do not live in Washington DC] and the TV set in the kitchen tuned to my channel of choice, Morning Joe on MSNBC.
As I was thinking to myself about how beautiful but irrelevant the co-anchor Mika Brzezinski is the IT hit me like a Mack Truck.
I have been blogging about this rather imminent treat of war that looms over Iran, prelude with demonetization of a nation of 72 million and followed by call for an air tight sanctions for ever, then it downed on me that the wheels of war on Iran are already in motion.
It really does not matter what political affiliations we share or do not share. What matters is that in a very near future our country, with all the likelihood, is going to be attacked militarily partly because of our inaction in keeping the issue on the front pages.
It takes a real MAN/WOMAN with integrity, true honor, patriotism, love of humanity and above all a person of true being to set aside the political beliefs and lock arms in order to prevent a catastrophic and criminal war on our nation.
What ever grievances we have in respect to our corrupt government is for us to solve and not any foreign invader[s].

Captain,
by Mola Nasredeen on Sat May 08, 2010 09:34 AM PDTYou have a point there when you say:
"It is time for those who don't believe these fabrications to avoid mentioning those topics and point out the media's duplicity in this matter. And be frank about the methods used."
It is slowly creeping into the so called moderate and independent media such as NPR and others. As the old saying goes "If you repeat a lie long enough people will begin to believe it". This could be very true in Iran's case.
One point to ponder
by capt_ayhab on Sat May 08, 2010 07:04 AM PDTUnfortunately, all this talk about whether or not Iran wants the bomb is designed to create a reality of its own. Now with the media firmly behind these fabrications, drum beats are roaring.
It is time for those who don't believe these fabrications to avoid mentioning those topics and point out the media's duplicity in this
matter. And be frank about the methods used.
We need to be critical of the articles themselves and point out the inconsistencies.

The commercial I have posted is only a sampler of the type of demonizing that is in full force. All one has to do is to spend some time in conservative blog sphere to get the feel of the country.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Fri May 07, 2010 06:03 PM PDTthe demonization was made easier by those idiots who took the hostages. They managed to make Iran look really bad to the world. It set the stage for demonization of Iran. In fact the Marxists did it because they were afraid Khomeini was going to make peace with the USA. Well they did not want that so they preempted it.
The Imam not being the brightest bulb went for it. That gave the American excuses they needed to steal 8 billion Iranian money. Rest is history.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Fri May 07, 2010 05:59 PM PDTOf course not. The ordinances are not smart at all. I am just saying that is what I think US is planning. These are not really my plans! I am the messenger not the decider. If the Mullahs want to do us all a favor they should step down. Just like if Saddam had then it would have spared Iraq and his people.
Hey I have plenty of relatives and friends back home. I have no desire to see them hurt. Very much the opposite. I want them to do well. I also want Iran to do well. I like to see us go back. Neither the West nor the Mullah give a damn about our people. It makes me angry to see then hurt by anyone USA or IRI.

by capt_ayhab on Fri May 07, 2010 04:04 PM PDTMilitary superiority of US is not in question. Nor is the technology they have in respect to smart bombs, drones and etc etc etc.
What is in debate here is that once those ordinance are fired on Iran, they will kill indiscriminately. I should seriously doubt that those bombs are smart enough to distinguish between turbans and simple head scarves.
Do you?

Attacking Iran
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Fri May 07, 2010 03:37 PM PDTis not a simple matter. For the reasons already pointed out surgical strikes won't help. They either need to do nothing or take out IRI altogether. A half baked approach will backfire. Taking out IRI requires first stabilizing Afghanistan and Iraq. The US will be unwise to take action without first making sure the oil and other interests are safe.
Therefore Mullahs have until US gets done with those. If I were them I would either back down or pack up and move before it is too late for them.
Captain,
by Mola Nasredeen on Fri May 07, 2010 02:33 PM PDTand after the invasion by the Nato forces his majesty Reza Pahlavi will arrive under the protection of armed Blackwater contractor singing the latest version of "Javid Shah" "National anthem".
It aint gonna happen, rest assured.
Q, on the subject of hate from Clown prince's supporters
by capt_ayhab on Fri May 07, 2010 01:54 PM PDTThat is the precise point. One in a while the crowd who follow the Clown Prince around drinking from his golden T@#$%t need their chains yanked so they can entertain the ordinary people.
Otherwise this IC would be pretty boring place ;-)

Changeez why don't you run along to Clown Reza's Q & A blog?
by capt_ayhab on Fri May 07, 2010 02:42 PM PDTWhy don't you run along and play with your toy soldiers in the blog written for you Clown Reza and Q & A? Your kind are loving each other ever so profusely there and are throwing compliments at each other right and left.
Run along now, this one is well beyond your IQ level.

Great point Ayhab
by Q on Fri May 07, 2010 12:19 PM PDTof course the pro War crowd is going to hate your post. However, it is important.
People who would back foreign powers hurting Iran and Iranians for their own political reasons deserve neither association are are irrelevent to the people of Iran.
Your warning is well received.
It is precisely these same reasons, why we should go to war
by mahmoudg on Fri May 07, 2010 12:50 PM PDTwith Iran; love of humanity, country, integrity, honor, etc, etc. Whether we are Iranian, American, Iranian-American , European, Muslim, Agnositic (me), etc. etc. should not waver our supporting surgical attacks on Iran . These sets of surgical attacks are not about destroying a country, but rather saving it from the clutches of some of the most violent, vile, inhumane, and animalistic group of humans that has ever ruled on the face of the earth. It is the duty of every man to support the overthrow and annihiltion of the Islamic Republic and its diehard supporters, precisely so we can save humanity from complete destruction in the hands of these dogs.

if they attack...
by i_support_khamenie on Thu May 06, 2010 06:48 PM PDTthey will go for Shock and Awe attacks not an invasion...which leaves the current government in place and forever create a historic animity between average Iranians and United States government AND PEOPLE.
Iran will join Arabs in having a historical grudge that would be hard to erase for the next 100 years.
Pro-goverment foces in Iran will be even more pro-government and will call on or full scale war and targetting of US installations worldwide.
Anti-government forces will grumble, well, why did they attack if they weren't planning to remove the government; Now we're stuck with broken down infrastructure and the same government...Amongst these people, little by little socialist and communist voices will take the lead.
Nationalists will join pro-government forces initially. Then they will join the socialists later.
So, its a no win situation for US & allies...it would leave Iran exactly like Iraq was after first Gulf War: sanctions and leaders in place who will weekly remind the war that they were the victors because the US failed to overthrow them.
At the same time, the situation as it stands can not stand since Ahmadinejad fails to understand the meaning of diplomacy and negotiations...................

Military targets are fine
by Iraniandudeee on Thu May 06, 2010 03:55 PM PDTI have no problem if they started attacking military targets of the islamic leache of a regime, in my mind both the American yanky doodles and islamists would die, which would be a service to the human race, though I wouldn't want them to invade, just to attack the military targets of the IRGC and main military branches so that they get weaker and the people can gain more power.
If the islamic republic was in the same situation that saddam was in 1991 the Iranian people would be able to overthrow them without a doubt, cause if iran continues in the same path it will be worse off than Afghanistan in 20 years. Iran and the Iranian/Persian people have so much potentiol and resources, but they can truly succed only if under a government that wants to truly benefit them, without such a governent any nation would failfor the most part.

by Bavafa on Thu May 06, 2010 02:29 PM PDTPerhaps if you share with the rest of the folks as how you have come to that conclusion and why you think war with Iran is imminent, then you might find a more receptive audience. I am sure there are vast number of people, both Iranians and otherwise that would not want to see another war. Your blog, as it is, can be viewed either as scare tactic or delusional and I say without meaning any disrespect.
