by فغان on Mon Nov 09, 2009 03:06 AM PSTIt is your blog and you can have the last word, any time you wish; history , however, is a different arena. You can't tailor historical events to your taste.
Don't even try to pretend you are not happy that you have finally found someone like me; I am your best excuse to avoid facing the bitter truth: your Shah was not capable of maintaining his regime; that's why he fled the scene and let an American general to sort out the situation. Short and simple. Now you can vilify, accuse and insult me as much as you want. And of course you can always pull out a video...shab bood , biaabaan bood, zemestaan bood...

by فغان on Mon Nov 09, 2009 03:13 PM PSTFirstly: I wish for your political death only, not even your ideological one; I have no interest in your physical demise either.
Secondly: The scope and extent of my involvement in toppling the Shah's regime was not, is not and will not be for the purpose of public announcement and either shame or glory which usually follows the act remains as a personal matter; I only mentioned it to point out the magnitude of the difference in our stands.
Thirdly: I do strongly believe that Iran's Armed Forces fell victim to Shah's corrupt regime. I do believe that executions of military generals constituted criminal acts. The assumption of the blind loyalty of the generals to the Shah in early days of revolution,in my opinion, was not based on a valid notion. The Tudeh party engineered that theory.

by Azadeh Azad on Sun Nov 08, 2009 02:22 PM PSTYou are right about the Nojeh Coup. However, what I wrote is about Gotbzadeh and his coup d'Etat attempt in 1982. It was Darius' note about Ghotbzadeh at the end of his blog that made me think of this other coup and other Generals/Heroes of IranZamin. Sorry about the confusion.
We shall overcome,
Azadeh

by ThePope on Sun Nov 08, 2009 11:37 AM PSTJavidan is the best title possible for this blog.
Thx DK jaan.
Their memories will always be Javidan in Iran's history.
BTW, Nojeh was the third 'coup d'etat' attempt to bring down the mullah regime. The two previous ones were planned only & only by Shah's generals and not...
In Tehran (Bozorg raah-e Baabaa'i, Exit Lavizan) there's a huge mural of the two traitors of the first "coup" ('79)...
re;betrayed by mossad & US
by SamSamIIII on Sun Nov 08, 2009 07:21 AM PSTThis happened because Israel was in the process of negotiating the sale of $5 billion of US arms and spare parts to Iran for the war with Iraq
Dear Azadeh ; Nojeh coup happened in june-july 1980 and 3-4 months before the war with Iraq. most of IRI deals with 3rd party black marketer arms dealers were for spare parts for F14, F5, F4 ,Orion reconaissance,Chieftain tanks and small arms such as Howitzers and such .The magnitude of alleged deal is such which is not feasible either logisticaly, politicaly or financialy at the time. who is your source for this btw. cheers!!!
Dear Dariush; God bless these patriots soul & yaadeshan shaad.thank you
Cheers!!!

by Mehrban on Sun Nov 08, 2009 08:22 AM PSTI have a hard time disagreeing with you. True patriots of Iran have been desomated by the ignorance of both regimes. Ravaneshan shad.
PS. However, I am glad that DK has posted this blog.
Stop abusing their legacy

Iranian Generals betrayed by the Mossad & the US
by Azadeh Azad on Sat Nov 07, 2009 09:55 PM PSTIt seems that the US National Security Council official whom Ghotbzadeh met with was very close to Israel. He informed Israel’s Mossad of the coup plot and Mossad warned Khomeini through a third party. This happened because Israel was in the process of negotiating the sale of $5 billion of US arms and spare parts to Iran for the war with Iraq.
Such a sad episode in our history. Thanks for the videos, dear Darius.

by Red Wine on Sat Nov 07, 2009 04:32 PM PSTما مرحوم رحیمی را به خوبی به یاد داریم،عجب مرد با فرهنگ و با اطلاعی بود !
