People may disagree with me but they don't judge me based on one or two dissagreement which is natural and healthy when we are expressing ourselves in a democratic platform like the Iranian.com. I simply don't go around bragging about these kind emails written to me by some VERY Prestigious and honorable members of our Diaspora Community who happen to appreciate my contributions and opinions expressed and whose Identities would probably surprise you ( because they are not necessarily from the same political mindset as me) and would certainly put YOUR Over inflated CYBER EGO to shame.

But What remains in the end of the day is the thoughts and ideas ( Good or Bad) that emerge from discussions and contributions that people make in their lives in whatever capacity.

Thanks for these nostalgic videos.

I am so overwhelmed hearing "Imperial Iranian National Anthem!" We used to hear that everywhere: in the cinemas, before the projection of the films (and we had to stand up,) and on the radio and TV on a daily basis before & after the programs. For these reasons, life in Imperial Iran had this specific background music, which now brings out all my forgotten memories. In other words, the joke: "The problem with life is that there is no background music" did not apply to us before the Revolution :-)).

Did you hear about his recent public dressing down of Sartip Vahidi? Very unusual for a Defense Minister to be subordinate to a Military Chief. But that's the result of the Executive Branch of government not having authority over the military.

Also interesting (and revealing) was Sarlashkar Firouzabadi's recent endorsement of the nuclear deal for refueling the TRR (Tehran Research Reactor).

Look at those gaudy, French copycat uniforms from the 19th century, worn by the inner cadre of the Royal Guard. They epitomize the excess and bad taste of the monarchy- don't they? How out of touch with reality!

By comparison, look at today's uniforms of the Sepāh e Pāsdārān e Enqelāb e Eslāmi. Few even wear service dress uniforms, and there are very few adornments. The highest rank is only that of a Sarlashkar. For just about everyone, the common BDU or DCU is the uniform worn, even at state and parade functions.

I agree with Phantom, those aren't "guerillas" in the photo with the captured soldier. Those are more appropriately termed "armed demonstrators." And they sure look poor and hungry! 

Let's focus on our commonalities, and not on our differences

I do not know the history of your disagreements/insults, but I am new to IC and have had my differences of opinion with Darius.  But, our discussions have been civil, and at the end of the day, Darius and I realized that we had more in common, vis-a-vis; our dislike of IRI and our hope for a democratic Iran.

From TFOTO's comments before, I do not think that he is for the current regime.  We already have plenty of IRI agents in this site trying to divide and derail civil discussions.  So, while keeping our personal beliefs, please focus on our commonalities, our dislike of IRI and our hope for a democratic Iran.  It will take a coalition of many factions for the current IRI to back down and go away.

Looking at some of these threads, it looks like that you are stalking him. Please, you are better than that. This site is about where we come to relax, connect to our culture, and not to pick fights.
