ROYALTY AMONGST THE PEOPLE!

Don't Count on me From now on to Call The Former Crown Prince of Iran by his First name anymore or to hypocritically downplay his Royal Credentials in the name of Political Correctness or Character Assassination so often practiced by his well known opponents and Rampant on this site and others since their inception. He has gained my Respect for his Stamina, Love for his country and for compatriots. So even if he himself would not insist on this title by respect for the Old Constitution of 1906 that demands him taking Oath in Front of the Parliament of Iran in order to be acknowledged officially as Shah of Iran ( in addition to the fact that he is submitting that condition to the final choice of the Iranian people Only after a internationally supervised and democratically organized Referendum), To me at least

Neda was not trying to promote anything. She was exercising her right to protest the phony election. So do not try and pollute her memory with your twisted agenda.

And as to Reza Pahlavi stealing "billions", either prove it or shut up.

:) Irandokht and the others agreeing with you. My family was with Shapour Bakhtiar and the latter's goal was to put Reza Pahlavi on the throne and that's what he kept saying, that I can assert it. So please stop thinking wrong. If you support Shapour Bakhtiar, you cannot be against Reza Pahlavi as the first one supported the second one (and vice-versa of course).

"Five months later Bakhtiar established himself in Paris from where he headed the National Movement of the Iranian Resistance. He favoured the institution of a constitutional monarchy under the Shah's son, Reza Pahlavi."

We Iranians have a lot to learn!

by Shir-o-khorshid (not verified) on

We Iranians have a lot to learn about how democracy works and what freedom means! Someone here was accusing mujaheds and monarchists of "hijacking" the reformist movement. This person seems to think that only he/she has the right to express his/her opinions and to demonstrate against this regime. It's sad and absurd! This is not freedom! Iran belongs to ALL Iranians, and therefore it is undemocratic and outright wrong to demand that only the reformists should have the right to demonstrate against this regime! As for his silly and worn-out accusation that the Pahlavis have stolen billions of dollars, I would like him to present any slightest kind of evidence or proof that can back his claim! So far no such evidence or proof has been presented by anyone, including the criminal theocratic regime in Iran! Accusing anyone of anything is easy - But the accusation doesn't carry any weight until one can present evidence or proof to back the accusation with! What an ungrateful and ignorant person who chooses to insult the same leaders who served Iran and transformed Iran from having been a backwarded, feudal, impoverished and totally undeveloped country, in to a modern and progressive national state and second world country as it was in 1979! People like this is what we call "namaknashnaas" - They are ignorant and ungrateful. All they know is to accuse, complain and point fingers! They have no knowledge of Iranian history! God bless the Pahlavi Shahs for their great service!

The reform protest outside the Masjid in Northern Tehran

by Davood_Banayan on

Americans for a Democratic Republic in Iran.

As soon as the Mujahedin Khalq and the Monarchists got involved in protesting and hijacking the reform movements message the reform protest returned to a protest near a masjid in Northern Tehran to pay respect to the "God Father" of the Iranian Revolution, Ayat'Allah Beheshti.  Sunday, 28 June was the anniversary of the murder of Ayat'Allah Beheshti by Mujahedin Khalq members.  Ayat'Allah Beheshti helped in overthrowing the Pahlavi dynasty.   Beheshti was a good friend of Imam Khomayni.  Before and after the Iranian Revolution Ayat'Allah Beheshti was opposed to any form of Monarchy in Iran.  It was this same Ayat'Allah Beheshti that helped create the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

Ayat'Allah Beheshti is the true face of Iran's reform movement and the message "NEDA" was trying to promote.

As soon as the monarchists and Mujahedin Khalq got involved did you notice how the protests ended?

Reza Pahlavi is wasting his time.  The reform movement in Iran doesn't want him.  The only thing the reform movement wants from the pahlavis is the return of billions of dollars the pahlavis stole from Iran after they fled Iran on the 16th of January 1979.

It is high time that Reza "the theif" pahlavi return the money he stole from Iran.

for what it's worth, i want to say that a constitutional monarchy is no less authentic or legitimate than a mullacracy in Iran. Reza Pahlavi would be a more acceptable and appropriate ceremonial head of state than khamenei. any day.

by Quebeqi on

Darius Kadivar

Dear hamsade ghadimi Jaan

by Darius Kadivar on

Firstly I owe you an Apology if I offended you by my firm tone and impatience regarding your question but beyond the fact that I am not perfect, I am also human and in the face of all the many unbiaised attacks and insults I am subject to regularly (Only because I express a PERSONAL opinion), it becomes physically and emotionally frustrating to have to justify myself every time.

My Comment regarding those Who VOTED and then blame the monarchists of expressing their views or ridicule their display of emotions was less directed to you than to Irandokht and her friends who are always looking for "La Mouche Dans L'assiette"  like the French Say. Dunno how to translate that ideomatically sorry ...

Today NO ONE can predict the evolution of the situation in Iran or what awaits us in the future but I don't want to be instrumentalized by Falsley Moralist arguments vehicled by IRI lobbyists and their supporters in the US or Europe of the likes:

"Oh Don't Say anything right now for it will be dangerous for Iranians back Home"

or

"Oh don't mention SCE for it will even worsen the situation of Human Rights Activists like Shirin Ebadi ( who in Fact signed and met Nazanin Afshin Jam)"

Who are they kidding ? Tahmineh Milani in Shabahang yesterday was saying the co ntrary that the intellectual and free citizen should never stay silent given what is going on in Iran even if their views may differ from the majority. She even said maybe what I say now will result in the arrest and death of someone in Iran who may be watching VOA right now.

Same for Makhmalbaf today WHO SAID NATARSEEM ! Lets NOT FEAR ANYMORE !:

//iranian.com/main/2009/jun/makhmalbafs-message

THAT SHOULD BE OUR COLLECTIVE  MOTTO: FEAR NO MORE !

But when Reza Pahlavi says it, he has to shut up. When in Fact he was the one who had predicted this upheaval BEFORE all the So called Experts on Iran ( particularly those universities like Hamid Debashi or Soraya Ulrich or those in France's CNRS whose entire university careers are indepted to the Revolution and get invited by the IRI government so as to defend their policies ) all of whom were claiming the contrary.

Just check this video and listen to the so called Experts and how they defended the regime against RP and claimed Iran was not on brink of Revolution. This was last February:

Ce Soir ou Jamais:

//rezapahlavi.org/videos.php/?id=277#277

They got Tons of comments after their program on their TV Blog by Iranians in France and Belgium criticizing the TV for inviting Only Iranian So Called Experts in Favor of the regime.

Last Week they balanced it with Iranians journalists, young people and activists who were basically saying what RP had said in the previous program and contradicted one of the so called French Experts on Iran Bernard Hourcade ( an early Supporter of Khatami) :

//ce-soir-ou-jamais.france3.fr/index-fr.phppageemission&id_rubrique=737

What I don't like is hypocrisy which is rampant in our Diaspora Community. I don't claim to speak in the name of Iranians back home but I do speak in my own name and what I consider the best for my country and its future. I have to right to be even subjective, who isn't ?

Lastly :

People Don't Vote Just with Their Brains They Also Vote With Their Hearts !

Again I am sorry if my Response seemed aggressive. It was more due to impatient and I admit it Frustration to see no progress in us Diaspora Iranians in finding common ground after 30 years of this UN IRANIAN regime.

Also The Monarchy is NOT an Ideology But an Institution. Great Britain Is Not Run based on Any Ideology since one can be a Left Wing or a Right Wing and be elected Prime Minister to Run the Country. And I think you did not understand my reference to Spain's King since I was not comparing his reign to the Shah's Reign ( which was dictatorial because ABSOLUTE) but said that he was chosen King despite the fact that HIS GRANDFATHER like the Shah was a dictator. In addition unlike Reza Pahlavi, Juan Carlos' dynasty is orignially not even Spanish since he descends from the Bourbonne Kings of France.

So I don't understand those who reject the monarchy as an Option without Even bothering to listen to What Reza Pahlavi is really saying or even Reading his books be it for criticizing it.

Which of the current Presidential Candidates has written a book ? Even Khomeiny had outlined his program in the Tozihol Massael which no one read but ended up by following by millions only to complain a year later but it was too late for they dug their own shit.

So if people think What RP said is Crap then Why not prove it ?  instead of simply ridicule him in abscence of arguments to contradict him ?

My Apologies again and thank you for your kind and civilized response !

warm regards,

DK

mr. kadivar

thank you for your response. although, i don’t subscribe to your ideology, i was expecting that you know a bit about a person before you start labeling him. to answer your questions and clear up some misconceptions:

1) i’ve followed some discussions on iranian.com; however, i have not read every single post and my question was sincere, 2) i have not read reza pahlavi’s books,  3) i was not aware that parham had asked the same question (see above), 4) i would not consider meddling in the business of other countries such as morocco as my mind is occupied by the state of affairs of my own country, 5) i know a bit about spain’s government system and i disagree that the shah’s regime was anything like a democracy under a constitutional monarchy which is what spain is, 6) i take it that you admit that the shah abused his power in jailing bakhtiar (that was the answer to my question, thank you), 7) i believe the iri system is a totalitarian state with a guise of limited democracy, 8) when did i say that i believe that iranians who think differently from me are not sincere about their love for iran, or should not protest for regime change? that, in fact, is the opposite of what i think, 9) as you expect me to have read every post on iranian.com, then why aren’t you aware about my opinions and how i’ve been attacked by the likes of irandokht and the pro-iri gang for not wanting to vote in this election? furthermore, i have not advocated anyone to either vote or not vote, 10) i don’t attribute neda’s death to either the people who voted or not voted; let’s not forget that it was the doing of the brutal iri regime and one should not fall in the trap of blaming the outsiders or the people. i do remember some pro-vote people lecturing that if you don't vote, then you want ahmadinjejad to win and consequently israel will attack iran. if the same people believe the results are legitimate, then they should believe that the iranian people want israel to attack iran. if they don't think that the (s)election results are legitimate, then the iri wants to israel to attack iran! go figure.

i hope that i answered your questions. do forgive me if i missed a few. if you track my earlier posts you can see that i had predicted that this sham election was pre-determined; as early as may 20, i had predicted that ahmadinejad will win by a landslide (67%) in the first round! i had also persistently criticized mousavi; but these demonstrations are not about a former basij who declared that he would be faithful to the system, it’s about the people who are sick and tired of the system. having said that, i hope that mousavi decides to atone with his god and takes the bullet for the people who, whether believed in him or not, took to the streets.

Darius Kadivar

hamsade ghadimi I have Already Answered this question ...

by Darius Kadivar on

Do I need to Repeat it ? Or have you never followed the debates on the Iranian.com ? HAve You Read Reza Pahlavi's two books "Winds of Change" or "l'Heure Du Choix" ?

Reza Pahlavi New Book (A TIME OF CHOICE) Q&A With French Media

Clearly YOU have NOT !

Parham asked me this question directly demanding a YES Or NO answer to whether or Not the Shah's regime was a dictatorship.

My Answer was Unconditionally YES !

Do I need to elaborate ?

Do I need to tell you that ALL TOTALITARIAN States ARE Dictatorships BUT that NOT ALL DICTATORSHIP States ARE Totalitarian ?

Morroco and Tunisia are two Muslim countries one a Monarchy ( Claims to be a Constitutional one ) the other a Secular Republic and Both have a Record of Human Rights Abuses and violation of Democratic rights. Yes Both are in the forefront of social emancipation for Women Rights and social and economic equality between genders. They are considered also as ISLANDS OF STABILITY surrounded by Fundementalist States like Lybia or unstable dictatorships ( all of which are Republics by the way) like Egypt or Algeria. Would YOU Consider the Toppling of Morroco's King ( who now decided to pay taxes like the Queen of England) or the President of Tunisia ( who seemed to be elected for Life) would advance the democratic agenda's in these two countries which are regularly accused of Human Rights Violation by Amnesty International ?

Do I need to explain to You the difference between and Absolute Monarchy and a Constitutional Monarchy ?

The Grandfather of Juan Carlos the King of Spain was also a dictator( Juan's own father who was Crown Prince never became King). Does that Make Juan Carlos a Dictator Too ?

Do I need to explain to you the difference between a dictatorship and a Totalitarian State ?

The Shah's Absolute Reign was NOT a TOTALITARIAN One like the Current Turbaned Dynasty and its ABSOLUTE TURBANED KING: Ayatollah Khamenei (who ousted Ayatollah Montazeri who was Normally the LEGITIMATE SUCCESSOR TO KHOMEINY)

Regarding Bakhtiar who was indeed imprisoned because the SHAH had unconstitutionally banned the National Front and Anything that could remind him and his people of Dr. Mossadegh's political legacy. BUT Bakhtiar Unlike the National Front's Leaders Sanjabi, Forouhar and Co DID NOT Relinquish From the SECULAR Ideals that he believed in. He did NOT Support KHOMEINY and was even Ready to Blow Up the Air France Airplane which carried Khomeiny back to Iran. Were it Not for American General Hauser's meddling in the Iranian Affairs and creating dissent in the Iranian Military at the time the Homafars and the Imperial AirForce would have not joined Khomeiny wholeheartingly.

Lastly Lets Go to the Core of the debate here.

Let me ask you a question: IS THE IRI A DICATORSHIP OR A TOTALITARIAN STATE OR BOTH ?

People Oppose Reza Pahlavi's sincerity and the Right for him and his followers to demonstrate not only their support for the Iranian People's struggle but also campaign for what they have always been doing and that is for REGIME CHANGE !

WHO ARE YOU TO ASK PEOPLE LIKE HER NOT TO SUPPORT REZA PAHLAVI OR DEMONSTRATE FOR REGIME CHANGE ?

BOOK: EVEN AFTER ALL THIS TIME By Afschineh Latifi ( A Memoir )

In Reza Pahlavi's own words HE IS NOT EVEN ASKING TO BE KING But simply calling FOR AN IRANIAN SOLIDARNOSC !

Do I need to refer you to this Article Again ?

REZA's CALL: An Iranian Solidarnosc... By DK

Now Let Me Ask YOU What Gave the Diaspora Iranians the MORAL RIGHT to think that they could VOTE for candidates Selected by a Dictatorship  (including candidates WITH BLOOD on Their Hands UNLIKE RPII) without even READING Their Program or ever seriously debating about the Pro's and Con's and thinking it is in the interests of the Iranian People ?

Unlike YOU and IRANDOKHT, RP never accused YOU Guys of participating in These FARCE Elections nor blamed You for the Violence that Followed. He Simply Admonished You NOT TO BE INSTRUMENTALIZED by the Regime!

So If I have to follow Your Reasoning, since I did NOT VOTE I should clearly consider YOU GUYS & GALS ( if you voted) As Responsible for Neda's Death and all other martyrs to date ...

Clean In Front of YOUR OWN DOORS Particularly Knowing that Iran recruits HAMAS and HEZBOLLAH People to beat Up fellow Iranians and some of You particularly Irandokht was shedding Crocodile Tears for them.

"FELESTEEN ROH RAHA KOHN" - Slogan Shouted during the Demonstrations

//iranian.com/main/2009/jun/marg-bar-diktator

And Now they say "Marg Bar Jomhuryeh Eslami"

//www.youtube.com/watch?v=8J_WfqcjE8A&feature=related

DECIDEMENT VOUS NE MANQUEZ PAS DE CULOT !

Cordialement,

DK

Did he really said that?

I hope not, because this would means that R.P. just undermined the efforts of the people of Iran.

Please someone let him know that, he should not make comments that would jeopardize all the efforts by the people. Mossavie may want to break away from Islamic Terrorist regime, but R.P. comment's will makes it harder to do so.

I have no problem with you expressing your idea and praising the Pahlavis.

I just have one question: do you know that the great man that you quote from, the one in the videos that you keep posting, yes I mean Dr Bakhtiar: do you know that he spent a good part of his life opposing the Shah? He was even in Shah's prison!

How can you put them side by side for the few months that he cooperated with Shah in order to save the country from Khomeini, when he was a political prisoner for nearly six long years! the first term for ''insulting the Monarch and co-operating with the Tudeh Party'', despite being a well-known anti-communist.

Dr Bakhtiar did not become the prime minister because he loved the Shah! He realized that was the only way he could try to save the country. Please stop shuffling these videos and mixing them up so carelessly.

Thank you

My point from quoting Press TV was to make my earlier point about how IR is trying to make these events as being planned by outside forces.

IRIB and Press TV are the only sources in Iran who are mouth pieces of IR, and by using news like these they are justifying their brutal killing of demonstrators.

I have expressed my disgust to Reza Pahlavi in couple of emails I have send him. He needs to stop taking advantage of this bloody situation to gain some political points. his actions are counter productive and will have grave consequences for demonstrators in Iran. Not to mention the division he is creating abroad among the resistance group. He does not enjoy any popularity in Iran, even  much less than abroad. Besides he is an embarrassments to all Iranian when he takes the podium. As one mentioned, after 25 years of living in US his mastery of language is at minimum. This is my take from his recent activities.

Those who attack you and RP in this site, are supporters of IRI. They respect the Queen E., P.Charles, and the rest of the B.Royal family(BRF), despite immoral sexual affairs; because British brought Mullahs to power!

Grow up and focus on what is right for Iran and Iranians at this serious juncture in our history.  People like Neda are dying in the streets of Tehran because all they want is to be able to live a normal life, which they should be entitled to.  Meanwhile you are sitting, wherever you are but surely not in Iran, getting cheap thrills by refighting the battles of 30 years ago.  You must be very proud of yourself!!!

I just want to let you know that RP is totally irrelevant character in this whole thing and bringing him up in demonstrations will ruin the cause of Iranian people. He has been irrelevant for thirty years and there is no need for him. We have people far braver and far more interesting that I gladly follow and back up.

The ousted Shah of Iran Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi’s son urges Israel to
support post-election riots in Iran to bring down the government of
Tehran.

Reza Pahlavi, who is seen as a promising figure in pushing for a
change of the government in Iran, told Maariv that Israel should back
up recently sparked riots in Iran following the re-election of Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad as the next president of the country.

The very existence of the ruling government in Iran could lead to a
nuclear Holocaust, the former crown prince said but warned against an
Israeli attack on the country.

How pathetic you are. Your brothers and sisters are dying on streets of Iran and you are shamelessly posting bastards on your site.
Who cares about this a$$hole? Listen to the people of Iran and respect their wishes. No one cares about this guy or Shah. Shah is dead.
