The last moments of Gaddafi! Karma is a bitch.

20-Oct-2011

In the last moment of authority the Kings of Kings of Africa Gaddafi ended up in a rubbish drain. Fate cannot be more tragic and cruel. The last moments of Gaddafi stretched to a million years.

Gaddafi assassination after being pulled out of a drainage rubbish pipe reminds me of the other fox hole the one from which of Saddam Hussein was disgorged. Two tragic holes turn out to be the ultimate palaces of the despot and tyrants! The twosome had most opulent palaces both ended up in small holes. Lessons for those other tyrants who close their eyes to the reality check of the political temperature of their nations. 'Karma is a bitch' my friend said today.

Initially Libyan National Transitional Council said Gaddafi was captured and wounded in both legs at dawn today as he tried to flee in a convoy which NATO warplanes attacked. “He was also hit in his head.” the official said. “There was a lot of firing against his group and he died.”

The Ministry of Defence in London confirmed that Nato warplanes today attacked a convoy of vehicles fleeing Sirte.

Twenty of Gaddafi’s most senior supporters were killed in this attack. The leader of his armed forces, Abu Bakr Younus, Gaddafi’s son Mutassim were killed, while Ahmed Ibrahim, a cousin and adviser, and Moussa Ibrahim, his official spokesman, are captured. Saif al-Islam, the son Gaddafi the heir apparent has been captured, after his convoy was hit in a separate strike from an RAF jet near Sirte.

In a single blow Gaddafi and his entire coterie was wiped out. It was not known whether Gaddafi was in any of the vehicles. "It was targeted on the basis that this was the last of the pro-Gaddafi forces are fleeing Sirte."

Charred remains of 15 pickup trucks lay burned out on a roadside where Gaddafi's convoy tried to pass through NTC early morning after prayers; this particular convoy was hit by French Nato air strike. Gaddafi and few of the remaining loyalists who escaped direct hit and death escaped and were hidden in two drainage pipes choked with rubbish. The drain where he was found has been immortalised in blue aerosol paint. Today someone painted in graffiti : "The hiding place of the vile rat Gaddafi." The end for Gaddafi came not with fighting to "its last bullet".

Instead, when "the king of the kings" of Africa was cornered, Gaddafi crawled into a rubbish drain; Salem Bakeer, a fighter who was on the scene described the last moments before arrest "One of Gaddafi's men came out waving his rifle in the air and shouting surrender, but as soon as he saw my face he started shooting at me," he told Reuters. "Then I think Gaddafi must have told them to stop. 'My master is here, my master is here', he said,'Muammar Gaddafi is here and he is wounded'," said Bakeer. "We went in and brought Gaddafi out. He was saying 'What's wrong? What's wrong? What's going on?'

Then we took him and put him in the car." A revolutionary fighters beat him with a shoe. He pleaded for pity and compassion after being dragged out of a hiding place inside a concrete drain. According to one fighter, the dying demanded: "What have I done to you?" 18-year-old Ahmed Al-Shebani, who was pictured brandishing Gaddafi’s famous golden gun, was the one who claimed his life. Mr Al-Shebani said Gaddafi had said simply “don’t shoot” before he opened fire. He was subsequently hoisted on to the shoulders of his fellow fighters.

MUAMMAR al Gaddafi called the rebels “rats” when they rose up against his 42-year tyranny, but in the end he was the one found cowering by a drainage pipe amid the rubbish and filth.

Bin Laden hiding hole:

by Iqbal Latif on

Laden hiding sanctuary was continuation of a trend established by Saddam, Gaddafi. The holes that shall haunt the 'Political Islam' forever!! The last battles that were never fought; the mother of all wars that were self-destructive, the bravados of the last stand that all ended up in filthy, grimy holes; from where 'heroes' were extracted like rottening molars. This is the story of another hole, where Bin Laden was found, according to the seal who pumped in the bullets, he exactly resonated the preceding words in a book out today: “He hadn’t even prepared a defense. He had no intention of fighting. He asked his followers for decades to wear suicide vests or fly planes into buildings, but didn’t even pick up his weapon. In all of my deployments, we routinely saw this phenomenon. The higher up the food chain the targeted individual was, the bigger a pussy he was.”

Muammar Gaddafi's fugitive son Saif al-Islam wants an aircraft!

by Iqbal Latif on

Saif al-Islam had not left Libya and was being sheltered by
a prominent figure among the nomadic Tuareg people of the desert, whom he had
supported financially in the past. Muammar Gaddafi's fugitive son Saif al-Islam
wants an aircraft to take him out of Libya's southern desert so he can turn
himself in to The Hague war crimes court, a source with Libya's National
Transitional Council said on Thursday.

The rugged and empty area close to the borders of Niger and
Algeria has offered an escape route to others in his family. Saif al-Islam
wanted the involvement of a third country -- possibly Algeria or Tunisia -- in
a deal to get him to The Hague.

"He wants to be sent an aircraft," the source said
by telephone from Libya. "He wants assurances." Saif al-Islam's
whereabouts and intentions had been tracked by monitoring satellite phone
calls, the source said, together with information contained in intelligence
cables.

For a short while, before going to Bolivia, he tried to raise a campaign in Congo: but the local leadership was too conservative, dysfunctional and undemocratic.

Che and Gaddafi! Instant justice

by Iqbal Latif on

In this age of connectivity the truth cannot be hidden. It took 20 years for the world to discover that Che was caught alive, it took five minutes for the world to find that Gaddafi and his son were caught alive and served peoples justice.

Gaddafi was no "African Che Guevara"

by Iqbal Latif on

Gaddafi was no "African Che Guevara"- As Libya takes account the people in charge are shocked with the hidden riches; they are astounded ! It was his eccentric excesses of mega greed that undid him with the Libyans.

In the early days, Col Gaddafi was seen by some as an "African Che Guevara" but the resemblance ends here. Don't cry for me Argentina! Gaddafi staggering wealth details are putting to shame all revolutionaries that he claimed direct descent too like Che Guera.

New estimates of the former leader’s assets amount to more than $250 billion; in contrast to Libya’s 6.5 million people of whom 3m of live in poverty. The realisation of overseas investments would appear to offer a bonanza for the transitional government.

If true that these ’staggering projection are right Gaddafi will go down in history as one of the richest tyrant punching far above other minor corruption deities.’ If true, he would rank among the world’s most rapacious leaders. He clandestinely siphoned more than $200 billion in bank accounts, real estate and corporate investments around the world before he was killed, about $30,000 for every Libyan citizen in his 42 years rule.

I can't envisage anybody

by Iqbal Latif on

I can't envisage anybody who doesn't think the world is safer without a tyrant who murdered his own people and flouted the world for so many years.  I have never desired to hurt a man, no peaceful person is skilled in killing or even hurting a man,  but there comes a time when resentment and abhorrence does bring disgust to a height where a civilised man crosses to be a ‘barbaric man’ and he overcomes the legitimacy of system and put the bullet through the temple.

Body of Gadhafi laid out in a vegetable and onions freezer !

by Iqbal Latif on

In Misrata, residents crowded into long lines to get a chance to view the body of Gadhafi, which was laid out on a mattress on the floor of an emptied-out vegetable and onions freezer at a local shopping center. The body had apparently been stowed in the freezer in an attempt to keep it out of the public eye, but once the location was known, that intention was swept away in the overwhelming desire of residents to see the man they so deeply despised.

Men, women and children filed in to take their picture with the body. The site's guards had even organized separate visiting hours for families and single men. Gadhafi's 69-year-old body was stripped to the waist, his torso and arms streaked with dried blood. Bullet wounds in the chest, abdomen and left side of the head were visible.

The bloody siege of Misrata over the summer instilled a particularly virulent hatred of Gadhafi there — a hatred now mixed with pride because he was captured and killed by fighters from the city.

New video posted on Facebook showed revolutionary fighters dragging a confused-looking Gadhafi up the hill to their vehicles after his capture and less than an hour before he was killed. The young men scream "Moammar, you dog!" as their former leader wipes at blood covering the left side of his head, neck and left shoulder.

History of Holes

by Iqbal Latif on

The Arab, in particular the freedom-seeking nations in its core, have transitioned from the 1st generation of connectivity to the 5th generation of connectivity within a decade. Liberty will need to survive that infrastructural upgrade because while connectivity has its advantages it needs an inbuilt "software" of certain human norms such as respect and tolerance. Otherwise without those qualities in the ensuing vacuum, only political Islam will have the organisation and resources to emerge as a leading power.

Until these uprisings, most were the targets of elimination from radical political Islam. However they were the darlings and icons of stability for the West. The Google and Twitter inspired revolutions, as a result of global connectivity, have totally destroyed the established rules of the game. The exceptional change now is that these benign dictatorships have lost to the 'fresh waft of freedom' spreading through the cyber space and is definitely inspired by demands of people to be freed from dogma and orthodoxy. What political Islam and its agents, like OBL, could not provoke the universal urge for freedom did it in a very short time. This is the success of liberal democracy and freedom. Arab despots are falling like nine pins, yet the catalyst of all this was toppling of 'Saddam' symbol of ultimate tyranny in the Muslim world.*

Far too long we Arabs have been silent while their tyrants, their trillions, their oil, have been subjected to the political, economic, and military brutal occupation, genocide, theft, racism of their shady leadership.

“This must be a world of democracy and respect for human rights, a world freed from the horrors of poverty, hunger, deprivation and ignorance, relieved of the threat and the scourge of civil wars and external aggression and unburdened of the great tragedy of millions forced to become refugees”

While the Muslim world has suffered, they have blamed everyone but themselves. This state of denial and extreme "hypocrisy" means Muslims are ill-equipped to deal with problems of endemic terrorism. In the Islamic terminology, the word "Hypocrisy" is a substitute for "Nifaq". This word Nifaq has been mentioned in the Qur'an thirty-one (31) times in different forms.

"The hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the fire-no helper will thou find for them;-" (4:145)

This "gross hypocrisy" resident within mainstream mores of Islamic polity has led the nation of Islam into a collective rage of vanity and powerlessness. The enemy within is rarely ever found to be the culprit, the deviation from injunctions so explicitly enjoined is leading us to a decay. There is no moral equivalence of crimes against humanity.

Hypocrisy and its workings in the Middle East: Akin to 'my bastard is good, yours is bad,' Iran is secretly helping Syrian President Bashar al-Assad put down pro-democracy demonstrations, at the same time, communications intercepted by spy agencies show Tehran is actively exploring ways to aid some Shiite hardliners in Bahrain and Yemen. Tehran is providing gear to suppress crowds and assistance blocking and monitoring protesters' use of the Internet, cell phones and text-messaging in Syria.
