This is a most beautiful song.....
by Nadias on Sun Mar 30, 2008 02:34 PM PDTit is not cheerful and very melancholic....there is not enough wine in the world to make it cheerful...:o)
I included the Spanish and English lyrics to the song. I had to seriously rework the English version that I found. It is okay now. :o)
I have been looking for an English version but have not found it.
Christina Aguilera "Pero me acuerdo de ti"
//www.youtube.com/watch?v=5d2CBzT1beg
But I remember You Now that my life is normalNow that I have someone at home who dreams with me coming home.
Now, I can say that I am back on my feet.
Now that I am doing very well.
Now that with time, I was able to overcome
that love that almost killed me.
Now there is no more pain
Now at last, I am me again
But I remember you
and again I loose my peace
But I remember you
and my heart is torn again.
But I remember you
and my smile is erased
But I remember you
and my world is torn apart again.
Now that my future begins to shine
Now that I have my security back
Now there is no more pain
Now at last, I am me again
But I remember you
and again I loose my peace
But I remember you
and my heart is torn again.
But I remember you
and my smile is erased
But I remember you
and my world is torn apart again.
But I remember you
and again I loose my peace
But I remember you
and my heart is torn again.
But I remember you
and my smile is erased
But I remember you
and my world is torn apart again.

There's a difference between melancolic and sad. The cheerful part is the 'rythem' of this song...

Nice but very sad
by Shireen (not verified) on Sat Mar 22, 2008 10:06 AM PDTKamangir Jan:
This is a nice song based on Houshang Ebtehaj (Sayeh)'s beautiful poem. But what was "cheerful" about it? The story of loving someone who doesn't love you is a sad one, no matter which way you slice it. Try again, please, and give us something truly cheerful for Nowrooz!
Have you heard Jahan's "Negah Kon" based on Forough Farrokhzad's poem? This has to be one of the few happy poems Forough ever wrote. In this clip, Khosro Shakibaee recites the poem and then Jahan sings it (starts at 3:37). Now, this is a melancholic sounding, but cheerful love song!
Eidet mobarak.
