Stoning is Barbaric. I just had draw a cartoon about it, granted there is nothing humorous about the subject… Even a cartoon will be a dark one.

Sad that stoning does not even make the top-ten

After seeing your cartoon and Larijani's comment, I did a search and it turns out that stoning does not even make the top-ten grusome methods of execution, from this author's view: //listverse.com/2007/09/12/top-10-gruesome-methods-of-execution/ .  Some of the pictures at the site are aweful, but, they are all (including stoning) barbaric acts and should be out-lawed.  Here is the top ten:

read the article it refers to the comment by Mr. Larijani claiming that Stoning is a "lesser" punishment as it gives a chance for survival.  Having witnessed a stoning as a child back home, I can say that that is hogwash.

Statistically, hangings still out number stonings in Iran, so figuratively speaking hangings are still the "King". 

I appreciate your comment. Humanity has a long ways to go, as long as we deal with crimes with capital punishment we will not progress as humans.

Agha Kaveh,

I think the arrow should've pointed toward the stone not the rope, & stone would've said "You're the lesser punishment, I'm the king" because the judge reduced the sentence from stoning to hanging, na?  :)
