دوستان عزیزم

امشب اومدم سرزدم و یک بلاگی رو دیدم و هرکار کردم جلوی خودم رو بگیرم و جواب ندم نتونستم!
بعد اومدم اینجا و کامنت های شما رو خوندم، سپاسگزار از محبّت های همتون، شرمنده که زودتر نیومدم که تشکّر کنم.
سعی میکنم بیشتر بخونم و کمتر بنویسم، اینجوری کار سانسور چی ها هم آسون تر میشه!
علاوه بر همهء اینها با توجه به وقایع اخیر مملکتمون موقعش نیست که خودم رو از نوشته های دوستان محروم کنم.

I also protested that the new management boycotted SP and others, but to his credit, the new Admin is dishing it out to both sides.  And, as long as he is being consistent, I do not mind.

As a matter of fact, the dialogue in the comments have become more civil (OK, maybe a little lame), and if we can keep the condescending remarks to a minimum, we may be able to continue a dialogue amongst ourselves and learn to debate rather than insult, and eventually get along with each other.

Bottom line: don't go away. 

PS, from what I have seen, some bloggers are just too sensitive with a very low threshold for pushing "the flag as abusive" button.  With the new rules, the wrath of the Admin will be upon you if you are flagged several times and he finds your comments less than civil.  However, with these button pushers, just keep the conversation above the belt, don't address them directly and you will be fine.

You are one of the most insightful and decent posters. I would khahesh and tamana that you reconsider. Please please stay and remain part of this community.

Those who have played sports know that ALL referees make mistakes. Some of those mistakes hurts us and some of them help us. Over time they even out. It is very very hard to be the administrator of a site like this. There are soooooooooo many pressures from sooooo many different sides.

JJ is a good and decent man. He is truly democratic. Like all of us, he makes mistakes.

Please think LONG term. There are many supporters of the fundamentalist terrorist regime who post here to further their agenda. It is not easy to be posting here. The pro-democracy forces need YOU here. I hope you are bozorgvar and have gozasht and stay and allow us the pleasure of reading your posts.

My visists to this site went from few times a day to a few times a month as the quality keeps going lower; now it'll be down to once every other month. I like you to stay but I'm hardly here anymore so understand if you leave and take another piece of what little is left to come back to.

The other day Nader who is a customer of mine came into my store and asked for two bars of a particular brand of chocolate that I keep in the back of the shop. This is a very expensive brand and needs to be kept under lock and key. Any way, when I got back to the store front, I saw Nader on his knees cleaning a spot on the vitreen. He kept cleaning here and there feverishly as if his life depended on it. He did not even raise his head to see me standing there looking at him in wonder.

Nader suffers from OCD and he lives to clean things, remove things, and I wonder when he is sitting in front of his computer if he deletes things.

Not even for a second am I trying to say that my friend and hero JJ has OCD, but what I am trying to say in a long winded way is that no one is perfect and everyone of us has our own ways of seeing and dealing with things. We must try to be more forgiving and understanding of each other, as much as we possibly can.

So please stay and write because I love to read what you write and your humor is unique and wonderful. You also take pretty pictures.

کجا با این عجله؟

بابا این که مسئله ای نیست مال ما هم پاک کردند. ما یک بار توی بلاگ یکی از آن مغلطه کارهای عظمی، برادران صدری، نوشتیم که ما نوشته های آن بابا را نمی خوانیم چون مغلطه می کند و فقط دنبال مخاطب است و جواب نظریات خوانندگان را هم نمی دهد. از ترس این که علی شریعتی های زمان دیگر در اینجا مغلطه نکنند آن را پاک کردند.

Majid Jan: I empathise with you and would like to see you around. IC is a random example of who we are as a nation, and it will take hundreds of years before this nation gets rid of its very old habits. You have been, like many others, subjected to irrational and hurtful behaviours. So,  you have all the sympathies of everyone on this website - both male and female - which is very good. 

However, if  *I - a woman* had written the same *type* of blog that you have written (as I did long time ago), most IranianDotComers - including women - would have attacked me instead of either understanding me or empathising with me. Why? Because we are a phallocratic nation, because most of us have internalised phallocratic values. Like on the streets and in public spaces of any male-dominated society, the IC too is a male-dominated public space where not only men but also male-identified women (those who have no solidarity with people of their own gender and use women's rights as justification for their bossiness) would attack any woman who complains against any specific injustice she has experienced on this site.

This has been my personal observation and experience regarding the differing reactions of the IC readers towards a male versus a female complainer. Here, I am not at all aiming at any specific person or persons, but simply sharing my personal view.

Majid, you should stay

Your contributions add to the value of IC, you really should stay. I bet it is hard to find a commentator on IC that has not had at least couple of their comments deleted. Besides, it looks like the one comment that you refer to that was deleted, it was because of the language that you think it is OK and JJ thought it is not. So it is matter of "ekhtelafe saleeghe" and don't you think when there is "ekhtelafe saleeghe" over choice of words, it is the publisher that should decide what to publish?
