These dinosaur eggs were cut in half, exposing their centers in cross sections. Note that they are so durable and strong that the instruments used to cut them were almost ruined in doing so. Therefore I was only able to have one cut. some others were broken and exposed naturally. some were also too large to cut, though I look forward to getting them sliced into cross sections in the future.

zargarani jan, it seems that
by hamsade ghadimi on Mon Mar 28, 2011 10:12 AM PDTzargarani jan, it seems that you got some big rocks. here's a pic of rocks that look more like dinosaur eggs than your specimens:
//www.ardeaprints.com/image/moeraki-boulders-massive-spherical-rocks-which-look-like-dinosaur-eggs-at-the-beach_1455237.jpg
Also, here's a short article giving hints on how to tell the difference between a rock and fossil (which indicates what you have, based on the cut up rock, is not a fossil): //blogs.smithsonianmag.com/dinosaur/2010/02/bone-vs-stone-how-to-tell-the-difference/
good luck on finding your fossils. if i were a retired hobbyist like you, i'd go to an exotic island looking for sunken treasure. happy hunting.
These are just river rocks. No fossils here!

Painting VW bugs and selling them as Porsches!
by Esfand Aashena on Mon Mar 28, 2011 06:07 AM PDTSo now the river stones are dinasour "eggs"!
Everything is sacred
Why do you insist on slicing .
by pedro on Mon Mar 28, 2011 05:53 AM PDTWhy do you have to slice the eggs in two. If these are real dinasours eggs there are very simple methods to see the inside rather than totally ruining them.
Thanks for sharing Mr. Zaraghani. give us more updates.
