Good news coming from China! Team Melli defeated China in China 2 to nill! Last year Iran lost there in a friendly one to nill. Well, that is a good step even though friendly games are not decisive yet that shows that Afshin Ghotbi has worked well so far! Next week there will be another friendly with South Korea in that country, that game is even more important for preparing the Team Melli for the Asian Soccer Games.

Upon receiving a video I will post it in this blog.

I think Faramarz answered my question there. I imagine they were the big wigs . It's those players who at the sight of the slightest of injuries are put out of the game and also judging by how our boys could steal the ball and create opportunities and go right around the defense...something must have been up:)

Please keep us posted with the upcoming S Korea vs Iran game......these 2 teams met in WC qualifying match......Iran scored one goal, but could not beat S. Korea........team Melli made headlines around the world for wearing green wrist bands in that game.....there were also post-election protesters among the spectators.......very memorable game last time.......I hope they can do better this time!

The Real Deal

It was the real Chinese team with a few injured players missing. Today and next Tuesday are international days and all clubs are required to release their players for international qualifiers or frindlies.

 

On Tuesday Iran will play South Korea in Seol at 3 AM West Coast time.
