There are no more words,
only memories
There are no more poems,
only melodies
There is no more love
And perhaps there never was
a way to the abyss of this life
There is no more presence,
only absence,
without words

دیگر حرفی نیست
فقط نشانه
دیگر شعری نیست
فقط ترانه
دیگر عشقی نیست
و شاید نبود هرگز
راهی به عمق این خانه
دیگر ظاهری نیست
فقط باطن
ولی بی حرف

Hi! MPD,

    Thank you for translating this somber poem! You made it sound so natural and vernacular! It is hard to tell that your English version is translated from another language! I read many translated poems of Persian poets, but many of them don't rhyme at all! I guess the translators feel that the best they can do is to translate the meaning of the poems and forget about the rhymes......it is mission impossible!

   You have the finesse to translate the meaning of the poem and make it rhyme! You did it effortlessly! That is awesome!
