Just got off the phone with an acquintance in Tehran who claims the new Twilight movie, New Moon, is making the rounds all over northern Tehran in a fully dubbed version. I asked if the quality of the dubbing was any good, and they said it was perfect. Can someone explain to me how it is possible for our hamvatan pirates to get their hands on a blockbuster movie that only came out this week and have the whole thing dubbed into Persian that quickly?! It defies imagination unless the production company actually had someone on the inside giving out final copies of this film to our pirates before general release? Also has anyone else heard about this??

I still think Anne Rice is better
by Nur-i-Azal on Thu Mar 04, 2010 10:51 PM PSTThe original Vampire Chronicles were out of this world! They went downhill, though, when Anne Rice turned born again. Apparently she has come out of her self imposed exile and is now writing a new Vampire chronicle series. Looking forward to reading about Lestat, Louis and Talamasca once again!
As for the Iranian black market and boot-leg pirate industry: there's a saying that you can find anything from a tiny pin to a full grown elephant in it ;-)
Ya NUR

by Latina on Thu Mar 04, 2010 09:32 PM PSTI have no answer to your hypothesis.
However, I totally enjoyed watching the movie. Arman was a great fan of the series but hated the movies. He says that they did not do the characters justice.
He told me not to read the books or I would think the movies were lame. So, I did not read the books.
Cheers!
You sure do like intrigue. :o)

As a powerful magus
by khaleh mosheh on Fri Nov 20, 2009 05:57 PM PSTwhat is your stance on werewolves and vampires? Has there been a historical conflict between Magi and these perternatural beings? What about Magi and Djiins- has the relationship there been hostile?
Thanking you in advance for your response.
