The IRI is at it again. Its propaganda machine in full swing, it announced that it has issued two death sentences to prison guards at the infamous Kahraizak prison. Its propagandists and agents then picked up the line, and their marching orders, and came out in full force to hail the announcement as a victory for law an order under the IRI mafia rule of Iran. And of course, they sprinkled a little bit of U.S. bashing (as if that is somehow relevant) to sweeten the story, talking about Abu Ghraib and complaining that IC users didn’t protest Abu Ghraib enough in comparison to what happened at Kahrizak---as if we are supposed to be stateless ideological gypsies (“SIG”) like them and care about Iranians only at the level that we care about everyone else in the world. It never seizes to amaze me how the whole idea of putting our own people first is so alien to these stateless IRI agents.
Let’s forget about IRI propaganda—and its agents--for now and focus instead on this non-story. The IRI has claimed that it has “tried” and “convicted” two guards. Of course, we don’t know their names. We don’t know if they were following orders from their chain of command-especially Saeed Mortazevi, who has since been promoted. We don’t know how they exactly killed the prisoners. We don’t know if it was under torture, and if so, how many else were tortured and what happened to them. For all we know, these supposed “guards” could be prisoners themselves, who will be executed under the guise of punishment for “wrongdoers”.
But let’s assume that IRI’s claims are correct, and they actually did arrest a couple of nobodies for three deaths, and made them scapegoats. What about the rest? What about Sattar Najafi, the Basiji who shot and killed protesters from the rooftop and is in countless pictures and videos? What about Neda’s murderer (oops, sorry…I forgot that Neda was killed by the BBC)? What about the murderers of more than a hundred other protesters who died on the streets on Tehran, Mashhad, Tabriz and other cities in Iran? What about the ones who were tortured and raped? What happened to their torturers and rapists? And what about the people whose homes were invaded, their property destroyed by IRI's thugs and South Lebanese mercenaries? Are they going to be compensated?
Even if what the IRI says is true (which I am sure that is not), the only punishment that it has so far handed out to anyone is for the murder of three prisoners, the father of one of them happens to be a high ranking IRI insider (not that it takes away from the victim’s sacrifice or bravery). And that, in and of itself, should show that this whole IRI show is nothing but smoke and mirrors to fool the gullible, and a poor attempt to somehow clean up its image around the world…with the help of its West residing propagandists of the sort that we see on IC. This whole non-story is nothing but another IRI dog and ponyshow.

Do Shieh-yeh Esna-Ashari believe in Reincarnation?
by AMIR1973 on Fri Jul 02, 2010 11:48 AM PDTBecause if they do, I believe that the recently deceased Yousef Bozorgmehr (a "friends with benefits" of fellow Islamist journalist-scholar Reza Esfandiari) has been reincarnated as Ayatooleh Messed-Up Yazdi. Just more of Iran's oil money at work.

What about Sattar Najafi?
by Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi on Fri Jul 02, 2010 11:29 AM PDTWhat about Sattar Najafi, the Basiji who shot and killed protesters from

He opened fire on a mob of rioters who were throwing rocks and petrol bombs at the headquarters he was protecting. 8 Basijis died in the attack where the hooligans burnt the building to the ground.

Where are the green murderers of the Baseej? Why have they not been brought to justice?
