English version-- An episode of the Dutch documentary program "Tegenlicht" about the Israel lobby in the USA. This documentary (April 2007) was created as a result of the controversy created by Mearsheimer and Walt's "The Israel Lobby" article. Featuring interviews with Mearsheimer, geostrategist Lawrence Wikerson, Richard Perle, historian and critic Tony Judt, John Hagee, former Congressman Earl Hilliard, Kenneth Roth of Human Rights Watch, Michael Massing and Daniel Levy. 'Tegenlicht' ('Backlight') is a program from the Dutch VPRO public television.

The argument is.

had Jews not experienced 2000 years of antisemitism, persecution and Holocaust by the hand of Christians and Muslims alike - the argument against people like AIPAC taking strong stance against attempted repeat of persecution and Holocaust would be somehow a palatable one.

However, the core of argument here is, not let it happen ever again. Not only against Jews, but against any other defenseless minorities, particularly those who live throughout the Arab & Islamic countries.

Suffice to examine the treatment of Baha'i or the Zoroastrian minorities in the hand of these fanatic Muslims in Iran to realize what we are talking about.

Jews are the carany bird in the coal mine.

After all the pundits have to say concerning the obvious - AIPAC dictates U.S. foreign policy...Jews control the meida....Jews control the financial sector, etc....etc....etc... - What is most important to me as an Iranian is if Zionists were to attack my beloved land I will buy a one way ticket to Tehran, and once there fight the occupiers to my last breth.
