You can find a lot of upto date and translated (to English) news and articles about human rights and political issues in Iran. I hope you enjoy your visit
Hi Everyone, I just had a few free moments and was reading your comments, and I am so touched. I wanted to drop a thank you note to everyone.
I have to admit that what happened with Ehsan Fatahiyan really effected me a lot more than I ever thought it would, I don't know why since the Regime is executing people on a regular basis. But this one was very difficult and I was under great emotional pressure, which I probably didn't notice at the time, but now looking back I see that that's exactly what it was. When I came and saw that my tribute to Ehsan was deleted I reacted emotionally and I shouldn't have done that. So I apologize to everyone.
Although I have to say this is not the first time or even the second time my posts have been deleted, but anyways...
Just wanted to thank everyone for your kind words, sometimes I forget that I am not alone and we are all going through this together and its nice to know there are other people out there who undrestand. By the way I have deleted that emotional post as I see that it was a major over reaction.
And now back to work!!!
cheers
Sayeh

by yolanda on Tue Nov 17, 2009 08:48 PM PSTHi! Dear PT,
I just got my Persian name less than 2 days ago, it is a translation from my 1st and middle name. I am happy with my name! I told my colleagues already! My 1st name means "easy-going and tolerant" in my language. My 1st name has only one syllable in my native language, but it can mean many different things 'cause that language is full of homonyms.......I am still trying to figure out how to say Persian middle name, OMG, it is a long name, Delaram is easy to say......I have never planted violets in my life, but I do have a lot of cacti in my front yard, it is low-maintenance.
Take care!

When I was little living in Tehran, every Nowruz (New Year), My Dad would plant all variety of different colors of Banafsheh (Violet) around our back-yard
Use Your Iranian Name :)

Dear Sayeh
by Passing Through on Tue Nov 17, 2009 08:06 PM PSTWe all know your concern for Human Rights, and the passion that you have for the cause of Justice
However, we all have a tendency to sometimes get carried away to an extreme on issues that we deeply care about
In any event, please keep up your good work .. It is always better to err on the side of Mercy, rather than be overly right on the side of Justice and Punishment
Tks Again :)

by yolanda on Tue Nov 17, 2009 07:45 PM PSTThank you for being so gracious! I made mistakes in the past, I did not bother to apologize because of my pride and stubbornness, but I did avoid to make the same mistake. Thank you for bringing attention to kurdish people's suffering.
