The Demon in the Lotus: The Devil's Liberation/Enlightenment from Hell

The Demon in the Lotus: The Devil's Liberation/Enlightenment from Hell
by Xvarnah

Within the core of Hell there shines the Light of Heaven. Within the
core of Heaven is reflected the fires of Hell. If the Devil recoiled
into himself and meditated long enough reflecting upon the innate
emptiness of both Heaven and Hell, he would gain his own liberation from
Hell while transcending Heaven at the same time; and in this he would
realize he is That, namely, already-always beyond the dualistic God who
has bound him to his fate; in truth a mere projection of a contrary that
ultimately resolves itself into the Absolute Unicity that is the
Godhead! In Hell there is Heaven and in Heaven there is Hell.
Transcending the conditioning of both is to gain the true liberation
that is in the Godhead Who *is* the coincidence of all opposites
(coincidentia oppositorum)! There is no Grace higher than this, for this
is the sure salvation!

Childish Traps by the Wise One

by Anvar on

I don’t care who or in what state or for how many millennia people have done illicit drugs.  It’s just not for me.  You want to do it?  Knock yourself out.  Prostitution's the oldest profession in the world too.  But it’s not for me either.

I’ve never tried Cyanide, or put my finger in the electric outlet, or cut my wrists either.  According to your twisted logic, I should try everything before I can decide for myself whether or not they’re good for me!

Should I dismiss your opinion on rape because you’ve never been or done it?  More idiotically, should I assume that if you do have an opinion on rape then you must be talking from experience?

Oh, yeah – You’re the wise one!

You say many of these drugs that you advocate are organic and produced naturally in nature.  Well, so are carbon dioxide, sidewinder venom, and horse manure.  Enjoy Mother Nature’s Buffet!

And spare me of your childish traps.  If I say I don’t do drugs and they are bad, then you’d say I have no credibility on the subject.  If I say I’ve done drugs and they are bad, then you’d scream your lungs out that Baha’is do drugs.  Grow up, will ya?

Now go roll yourself up a fatty and chill out to The Doobie Brothers’ “What A Fool Believes” for a while.

The Goddess is Alive, because the Goddess is Life itself, and due to this the Goddess never dies! - Wahid Azal

No, you won't have the last word because I won't let you and, besides, you have no word at all. Just same old tired old Bahaim tripe we've all heard a million times over. And your example of Elton John is also a typical Bahai gooz-be-shagheegheh rabt daadan type argument. Maybe you don't need to be a pothead to enjoy the Grateful Dead, but I tell you this, if you had a single reefer and listened to this music you might find the source of the inspiration behind it and it might just inspire you as well -- one could only hope.

Now most of you Bahaim don't seem to understand the difference between psychoactive substances (which are considered sacraments by a huge current sub-culture around the globe) and hard chemical drugs that turn people into junkies and destroy minds. Heroine, crack, PCP, even opium, etc., are hard addictive drugs that destroy minds. I am totally against this stuff. All of the substances cited by me (except LSD which comes from Ergot) are plants that grow wild from Mother Earth. There is a massive body of anthropological and biological evidence proving now that human socieities have been using psychoactive substances of one form or another for millenia. In fact, the oldest religion in the world is Shamanism that has used these psychoactive plants long before Abraham's daddy was a distant glimmer in his daddy's eyes. Terence McKenna has even offered the thesis that evolutionary leaps in human biology and consciousness are intrinsically linked to the interaction of hominids with these psychoactive plants. Believe what you want, but the literature, evidence and theories are there, for anyone unbiased enough to consider them, and ones being elaborated by minds far, far greater than any you have ever encountered or believed existed. As such these psychoactive substances are no longer called "drugs" by the experts. They call them entheogens or psychoactive plants. The communities who use them under sacramental settings call them Plant Teachers. Interestingly enough, in Zoroastrianism the first beings are considered to have been plants, and humans as such are considered to be descended from plants, which makes plants in this conception of things (which is equally shared by several indigenous civilizations as well) the real dominant species here, not us.

Now you claim you are sober. I beg to differ. From my point of view you are in the slumber of error (khaab-e-gheflat) yet know it not. And you have answered my question as to whether you have ever had a single experience with any of these sacraments which makes your judgement of them a hand-me-down bias that, as a view, makes your opinion completely worthless and unworthy of any serious consideration by anyone. In other words, you have no idea what you're talking about so why should anyone listen to your views about them? Go have a single experience, at least even as an experiment, and then come back and talk. Until then, kindly put a sock in it!

Look, the state of California is on the verge of completely decriminalizing marijuana. You think you know better than the hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of potheads in Cali or the experts who have convinced the lawmakers and the state executive to seriously consider this step? Who are you?? We potheads and entheogenists are here to stay, and once California finally decriminalizes marijuana completely, there will be a dominoe effect throughout the rest of the world on cannabis and a whole bunch of other stuff as well. I can even see the day coming where folks are sitting on your beloved terraces in Haifa and sharing a reefer or three :-) Get ready cuz it's coming...

Now kindly pass the dutchie on the left hand side ;-)

Philosophy is for the love, not contempt, of wisdom

by Anvar on

Nietzsche and God are both dead – Goddess

"Goddess is dead" – Godless

We can do this till the cows come home but I’ll still be correct at the end and have the last right word.

But this is not a drug-induced conversation with your roommate in a college dormitory at 2 in the morning.  You trash Philosophy in order to come across as philosophical.

I don’t need to take drugs to appreciate the works of potheads like Jerry Garcia of the famed Grateful Dead.  Do you?

I don’t need to practice homosexuality to enjoy the music of Elton John.  Do you?

You claim that I don’t “get” you because I don’t do drugs.  I “get” the works of other druggies, so there’s no problem with my sobriety.  The problem is with your ramblings due to excessive loss of brain cells caused by illicit drugs.

Not all junkies are talented.

"31: New MAPS of
Hyperspace #2: interviews with Sasha Shulgin, Mountain Girl and Alex
and Allison Grey"

//in-a-perfect-world.podOmatic.com/entry/2010-06-04T05_49_11-07_00

At the MAPS Psychedelic Science Conference 2010 with experiential
journalist Rak Razam:

* Alex and Allison Grey talk about the entheogenic origins of art and
the mystic state of religion; the spiritual renaissance catalyzed by
entheogens and a hunger for the transcendent; shamanic art and anchoring
energy into this realm; the mapping of hyperspace by a generation of
new psychedelic artists, and COSM - the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors and the
Grey's mission to create a permanent home for visionary art...

* In perhaps his last public interview, Sasha
Shulgin shares his
thoughts on the future of psychedelics and the repositioning of 'drugs'
in culture; the thrill of the chase in exploring virginal molecular
landscapes and bringing back chemical maps; rules for safe ingestion and
active levels of compounds... and the revelation of the most potent
drug there is...

* Carolyn (Adams) Garcia, aka Mountain Girl tells of her time in the
boys club of the Merry Pranksters, hanging with Neal Cassady and Ken
Kesey, and the gender politics of being the only girl with a motorbike
for a thousand miles around La Honda in the early 60s... From the
Pranksters to the Grateful Dead, and her marriage to Jerry Garcia,
Mountain Girl has always been an integral part of the hippie tribe. Here
she reveals the lessons of the infamous Acid Tests, the failure of
"group mind", and her advice for women entering the psychedelic scene...

Salvador Dali, one of the greatest painters of our time, is also on record for using substances.

The last word is the Goddess'

by Xvarnah on

“God is dead.” – Nietzsche
“Nietzsche is dead.” – God

Nietzsche and God are both dead - Goddess

Anvar, you should be taking psychoactive sacraments, i.e. entheogens. A single, good LSD or mushroom trip in a decent environment (preferably in Nature) around close friends also journeying with you would do you a world of good and put your whole life into a seriously good perspective. I also think you should be having more sex as well. Maybe then you might understand one of the meanings of the oneness of the Tree with its shadow. But that's just my opinion! That said, until you have an adequate and wideranging definition of what reality and true vision is, you are in no position talking about a bogus category that no contemporary philosopher of mind or neuropsychologist takes seriously anymore, viz, hallucination. Define true vision and define hallucination. You can't and neither can most researchers anymore.

But that aside, how can you judge what these entheogens are if you've never had one before? Have you ever smoked marijuana in your life or even eaten a marijuana brownie or cookie? Have you ever had a psychoactive mushroom, psilocybin or otherwise? Have you ever tripped on LSD? Ever smoked DMT? Drunk Ayahuasca? Tripped on ecstasy?? Believe it or not, many Baha'i kids are. Why, many Baha'i kids insist on going to these Baha'i summer schools at Bosch or Green Acre just to get high as kites. Of course most of their parents don't know what's really going on, but I have first hand knowledge that these things are going on. These kids are also bonking each other senseless! So why are you people so hypocritical? Near Green Acre, I know for a fact, there are cow paddocks where you have all kinds of psilocybin mushrooms growing wild in the spring and summer months that the goody goody two-shoes...LOL...Baha'i Youth are helping themselves to aplenty at these gatherings.

I like "Visionary art" among many other forms of Art

by sag koochooloo on

talent does not come from taking drugs. And it should not be necessary.

Are you honestly saying the great painters of our times and in the past took drugs? and using this to advertise your own schemes? When Caravaggio wasn't painting he was getting into fights - eventually he killed a man and was wanted for murder in Rome.

So is his talent an ad for being a murderer? How pathetic!

by Anvar on

“God is dead.” – Nietzsche
“Nietzsche is dead.” – God

Who had the last word?

The reason that you and I cannot see eye-to-eye is not because of the (similar) books that you and I have both read or studied.  The reason is that I do not take the hallucinogenic drugs (LSD, Mushrooms, Ayahuasca, etc.) that (according to yourself) you consume.  What you refer to as Reality, most people refer to as Delusion.  Of course, I don’t see or “get” your “Realities.”  Even if I started to hallucinate, I’d still not see the images in the fantasy land of your mind.

You don't get it

by Xvarnah on

You have a lifetime of your cult brainwashing to thank for that. We're dealing with pure symbolism here yet your mickey mouse Aristotelianism gleaned from Abbas Effendi's Some Answered Questions is incapable of grasping any of it. Symbol deals with the dualitude (not duality) of meaning. Symbol is not an argument. Symbol is what it symbolizes. Your rationalizations of these symbols totally misses the point, and the reason for that is because you are not an initiate and so are incapable of even understanding the primary levels of such symbolism, i.e. the tawil.

Realize the empty meaninglessness of Husayn 'Ali Nuri and his son's meaningless pontifications. Don't foray into any spiritual texts for the time being. Saturate yourself in Nietszche for a while in order to decontaminate your mind from this lifetime of binary, dualistic cultist brainwashing, and once you're thoroughly sick of him, only then start reading and meditating on any more spiritual texts. Once you do that, only then will you understand what hell is, what heaven is, who Satan is , who God, what the Tree means and what its shadow. Then you will realize why the Tree and its Shadow are One! Before that you are like the blind man groping in the dark feeling the elephant out trying to describe it.

Right now, your explanations and rationalizations miss the point entirely because these symbols are not about a mere intellectual exercise. They are lived and experienced symbols by adepts. In the words of Mowlavii,

paay-e-estedlaliyun choobin bovad

paay-e-choobin sakht bee tamkin bovad!

Your mind is too contaminated to even understand what this means.

…(at lexicon level) in terms of luminance, Nur and Roshan are basically at the same level but there’s an inherent MORE built into the word Anvar.

As much as Light is concerned, Anvar will always be Brighter than Nur & Roshan.  I have, however, no doubt that Rosie and Anvar will always be Brighter (smarter and more intelligent) than Wahid.

Anvar

Oh, I got the point…

by Anvar on

…but I strongly and clearly disagreed with it.  Tree and Shadow may share certain realities but the are not One!

Take for example: Light and Darkness, Heat and Cold, Love and Hate, or Heaven and Hell.  Each entity, in any category, may be used to represent concepts and ideas, real or imagined, but some exist in an affirmative and positive sense; and their counterparts don’t.  The notion of Duality, in many situations, is misguided.

Not everything that has a name exists beyond our minds.  Yes, they exist conceptually and, only in that sense, they are real.  However, they are real not in an affirmative sense but as a representation of the lack of another reality that could exist - but doesn’t.

Whereas, the realities of Light, Heat, Love, and (even) Heaven, exist affirmatively; their supposed counterparts Darkness, Cold, Hate, and Hell do not exist on their own.  They only represent a VOID of what could have existed instead.  As such, the symbolic representation of the Lack of a Reality has been mistaken as a reality as well.

Light exits and we can shine it.  Darkness does not exit on its own.  It only represents a condition where Light is missing.  I can eliminate your Darkness with my Light but you cannot eliminate my Light with your Darkness.

There’s no “Unicity” of Heaven and Hell.  There’s not a binary of either opposing or intertwined Realities.  Lack of progress in Heavenly realms is symbolized as Hellish.  There’s no duality of Heaven and Hell to begin with.  There is only One.

Hope you learned something.

The Tree and its Dead Leaves

by Anvar on

The following quotes are attributed to Anvar who was just inspired to shine Light on this blog to enLIGHTen the wanderers.  Anvar trusts that no additional Clues are needed to get the Core of these musings & deep thoughts:

“As the Darkness of the Night envelops the Shadow, the Tree awaits the True Morning-Sun of Reality to help the Tree Grow and bear Fruits.”

“The Shadow owes its Empty Existence to the Tree, but the Worthless Shadow is Nothing to the Tree.”

“Vigilant Gardeners behold the Tree and Cut Off its Dead Branches.”

“The Tree grows taller and stronger with each cycle of purging itself of its Dead Leaves.  The Shadow is but a Temporary placeholder for few once-alive transient Leaves that have Dropped off the Tree and landed in Darkness.”

“The Tree Thrives independently from its Shadow and despite of its Dead Parts.”

“The Shadow is at its Smallest when the Sun-of-Reality shines directly above the Tree.  The Tree grows towards the Sun and the Shadow, always hiding behind, runs away from the Sun.”

“The Tree stands tall and Grows Steadfastly whilst the Shadow, an Agent of Void, always wiggles about the Tree like an earth-worm.”

“The ever-growing Roots, have already transformed the young Sapling into a Mighty Tree that the Devil’s Minions cannot even Carve their Insignificant Names on the Tree’s Skin.”

“The Tangible Tree produces a Shadow but the Intangible Shadow does not produce a Tree.  Verily, Verily - They Are Not One!”

“The Tree is judged by its Fruits and not by its Shadow or Dead Leaves.”

Anvar Proclaimeth:  Oh thou accidental wayfarers of the Garden-Blogs of Existence; Do not be misled by the Shadow-Worshipping agents of Darkness.  Come out of the Darkness of the Shadow, join the Luminaries on Tree Tops, and Heed the yummy Fruits!

Anvar shall always Shine Brighter than Any Nur.
