I don’t know why I read Iranian Newspapers, especially Etelaat online and get upset and angry. No I am not a masochist but may be because I like to see how much crap the media is selling daily to the people. Today August 6, 2009, I read an article in Etelaat on the front page saying that the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of Iran according to the Economist newspaper will be doubled in year 1392, I guess in 5 years.
هفتهنامه اکونوميست در تازهترين گزارش درباره اقتصاد ايران اعلام کرد : توليد ناخالص داخلي ايران تا سال 1392 دو برابر ميشود
So I went to the Economist website and this is what I found:
* We forecast that Iran's real GDP growth will slow to just 0.5% in fiscal year 2009/10 (March 21st-March 20th), as a result of the marked slowdown in the global economy. We expect real GDP growth to recover to 2.9% in 2010/11.
* Average consumer price inflation is expected to decline over the forecast period, from 25.5% in 2008 to 19.1% in 2009 and 16.5% in 2010, owing to a sharp drop in international oil and non-oil commodity prices.
I don’t see any doubling up in Iran GDP, do you?
One would wonder if they ever tell the truth...

Yep, read this
by Iraniandudeee on Thu Aug 06, 2009 11:39 AM PDTIt's obviously bullsh1t... The regime thinks they can calm things down in Iran by claiming the economy is getting better when in reality it's worse than ever.
There's absolutely no future in the islamic repub as long as the islamists are in power.... It's just gonna get worse and worse til it reaches a state that matches Afghanistan.
But hey, what can you expect when you have mullahs in charge who put terrorist groups and Palestinians first instead of their own people and country.
The only way to go right now is a revolution or a huge change in office.
