There is a special kind of Iranians who are never wrong about anything.
These never wrongs are above accountability and reproach. No matter the consequences of their deeds, these Iranians are in essence above it all; they do and say as they wish.
No, I’m not talking about Kings, both the bejeweled crowned and the turbaned, the never wrongs I have in mind is the relatively new breed of Iranian intelligentsia.
You don’t have to go back to the 1979 Revolution to see who did and said what, just look at the more recent history.
Even though according to the Constitution and conduct of the system of the Messianic Islamists all the power rests in the hands of the lifetime unelected absolute leader, the never wrongs have consistently advocated participation in the “election” the Messianic Islamists put on to legitimize their regime.
Last “election” cycle, like other ones, those who advocated boycotting the charade were, like other times, labeled by the never wrongs as “warmongers.”
Now that the never wrongs are advocating boycotting the charade.
When there is no accountability at this level, why would there be accountability when these never wrongs assume position of power and authority?

Iran's future is not free from its past, or the actions of others against Iran.
The context and reasons leaders have done what they did,
had a basis regardless of whether we acknowledge it or not.

Report"Islamic Republic not a word less or more." Accountability!?
This is the same "leadership" that thinks chanting Allah Akbar, in Islamic Republic is resistance. Whereas in reality, whenever it is uttered, it's an offense to and an attack on human dignity and rights.
These are the same per-mature sellouts that ran all those mighty protests after election into ground. "Green" leadership remains a big part of the problem in Iran. However Green supporters, especially youth and women are a different story.
During Musavy's prime ministership there were also many executions, while he was still in office. There is no statute of limitations for crimes against humanity.

ReportYou bring up a good example with Mir Hussein Mousavi-Khameneh.
During his 8 years as the highest executive official in the Messianic Islamist Rapist Republic, many thousands of imprisoned Iranians, exact number is unknown, were summarily murdered by the OFFICIALS.
The lovely Iranian intellectuals know about this crime against humanity having taken place on this guy's watch, and yet many of them defend him saying "he didn't know."
To end this vicious cycle of producing dictators, regardless of their motive, there has to be accountability for everyone including the defenders of murderers.

ReportTransparency and accountability are building blocks of any functional democracy. Unfortunately in Iran we need to go through many obstacles (including all types of reformers) before getting there.

ReportThere is a word for this inconsistent behavior of the "never wrongs": "expediency" (some may put it unkindly as "opportunism" or God forbid, "hypocricy").

ReportAgha,
Truth be told, this never wrongness is endemic and epidermic in Iran, however, one expect the Masha-Allah intellectuals to be immune to the ailment and not carrying and spreading the debilitating shortcoming.
The dictators, big and small, in Iran are produced through this accepted norm
