amirparvizforsecularmonarchy I Love Waterfalls and Find One of the most humorous things in the world; is the notion that Americans are a greater force for good & more civilized than Nazi's, Mullahs and Communists.

Tony Benn is a Politician and a pretty Big Liar on the "Scale of Liars". He's the last person to be championing a cause, while he speaks very nicely he's Dirty in Practice.

Bugs Bunny, aka "comrade", aka "pendar nik", aka "first amendment" aka "demo", aka "mamoor", aka half a dozen other pathetic user ID's: I'll be writing a blog about the progressive roots of bahai fate, just for one of your user ID's to come and shout islamist abuse. As far as this blog is concerned, stay clear of subjects you have no clue about!

Zendanian An injury to one is an injury to all.

Rozbeh jan thanks for the clip.

But, with all due respect I must say that this presentation is WAY TOO SIMPLISTIC, and doesn't do justice to a proper worthy Socialist project fit for the 21st century. Why?
To begin with almost all Socialist and Communist movements, parties and states of the 19th and 20th century have miserably failed the question of democracy, political toleration and political participation.
Capitalism has exhausted its capacities and the crisis the world has entered on 2008 seems to be only in its beginning stages, with no end in sight.
Yet, the traditional "Communist," so called" Marxist-Leninist" "alternatives" are really anything but. Why?
USSR and today's China have proven to be as much exploitative of workers as the Capitalist West, if not more. So called "Marxism-Leninism" is nothing but a myth. Marx was never a "Marxist" and always put an emphasis on method and substance rather than cult of personality, and had an incredibly free, un-dogmatic mind and thinking. In the case of Lenin also, there was no "Leninism" when he was alive, and his thinking was too free and un-dogmatic to fit into a meaning less phrase such as "Leninism." On a personal note that, I find that hammer and sickle symbol so outdated and reminder of so many atrocities that I even don't want to think about it. Below is an example of what I find to be a proper response and critique of our past. Cheers
The Russian Revolution Revisited

P.S. Tony Benn rocks!

Roozbeh_Gilani "Personal business must yield to collective interest."

rafigh, you are right for saying this clip is simplistic. But please note that the audience is not a group of working men/women or students eager to understand why things are the way they are and how to change them.
