Although IRI deserves all the criticisms that it gets here, but at the end of the day, It is the people of Iran who have to show more sensitivity towards these endangered species by DEMANDING serious governmental actions. Similar of what we are seeing in the west when it comes to the environmental issues ! But then again it is Iran what more one can see from both the people and the government.

Worse than this is what that's happening to " Sturgeon " .... in that case, not only IRI but all the little tiny countries around the Caspian Sea are to be blamed.. Sturgeon is prehistoric ... shame to see that it is not protected at all.

Thank you for bringing up this important issue to our attention.

With every single comment that you put out , you prove that you are so out of touch with the realities in iran and are hopelessely dreaming.
I thought u said that you have made frequent visits to iran and my assumption was thatyou knew how things were run in this country and yet u still expect people to actually organize and make an official complaing against this one issue and end up with rotten eggs on their faces???

ask your relatives how ignorant Gov officials are when it comes to more urgent day to day needs of people, let alone this one.
Demanding!!! yeah right.. LOL.
and then to top it off you put the blame on both the people and the government.
Is that roo you have sweet pea or sangeh pa??:)) which one?

Ey baba, Iranian people do not care about these stuff ... is that too hard to grasp ? and the government could care less ! I do not think so anything will change in Iran regardless of the government ..

but I do see your point ... and my friends in Iran, almost all of them think like you ... .. I have only been in Iran recently after 20 years of not being there .... perhaps I am not the right person to refer to in that regards ... I am waving the white flag here

Still next time that you have champagne wishes and caviar dreams think about the poor Sturgons ! That's least one can do as an Iranian !

Another disaster in Iran. My Farsi is not that great, and I haven't looked up the independent data on this. But based on what I understand, I don't believe that the species will be able to sustain itself beyond the next five to ten years without intense intervention. How sad...
