I can't wait for a Snowden working at the national archive to decide the American people deserve hearing the truth and make the documents available to the public.
We like to believe we live in a free system, but the freedom is a matter of degree and not an absolute.

amirparvizforsecularmonarchy I Love Waterfalls and Find One of the most humorous things in the world; is the notion that Americans are a greater force for good & more civilized than Nazi's, Mullahs and Communists.

The one third of society in the USA which does not enjoy any degree of various elements of freedom would not agree that they live in a free system. Those who think they live in a free system are the ones who only look at their own lives and not others. The UK is different as almost all the people enjoy all elements of Freedom & to a high degree (regardless of the illusion of democracy they have). Even with Freedom of Speech, Saying what ever you want is not a Free System with out the ability/possibility to question and saying something of value being present.

Free speech matters little with out freedom of thought (and in Iran's case it is extremist Religion and their corrupt & misguided authorities that are the enemy of free thought, through terror of thought and opinion). What is clear, is that with Democratic Systems as unproven as they are, countries like the USA, UK, France and Germany can not be trusted with telling any side of the truth. Real people Power was immense in 1970's Iran compared with democratic systems and it was rapidly growing/increasing. Sadly the misinformed new middle class acted irresponsibly and gave their own hard earned gains away.

It was due to wanting a democratic system for Iran, one based on cruel hopes and their own false pride that they could do better than the shahs team. The truth can not be concealed, it is repeatedly exposed and eventually people learn to think and act responsibly. Though people need to learn at their own pace, leadership needs to make it a priority to raise peoples consciousness.
