These terrorists have proven what kind of animals they are by killing so many children, women and men, old and young by slitting their throats, setting them on fire, rape, torture and throwing them off roof tops. Syrians will never surrender to these animals and their supporters. The fact that Zionist Fred and his types are supporting these animals shows where this is coming from.

The best scenario for Syrian leaders is that they end up in Hague. There is no happy ending for them in this war. I hope Syrians would vote for a much more reformist government than in Egypt and do severe ties with IRI leaders.

UN report has revealed that militants from 29 countries have so far infiltrated into Syria to fight against the Damascus government.

The majority of Foreign Backed extremists in Syria are Salafists.... so I am not sure how you expect Syrain leaders to be in the Hague while Obama, Cameron, Netanyahu and Hollande remain secure and able to continue these crimes against humanity. Justice is what you seek correct?

Amir, if that is actually a fact and U.N admits that there are militants from 29 countries infiltrated into Syria to fight against the Damascus government. Then it is neither Arab Spring, nor civil war .... it is an actual war.. Suppose Assad is getting aid from one foreign country , Iran but then the opposition is getting aid from like 29 other countries ! What a mess ... !!!

Well no one is talking about it in media, crimes are now being committed by all sides. By Govt and by most militias.

The so called impartial free media of the world is only wanting to discuss one side of the story, against assad, may be a few liberals in the USA are trying to discus the various sides, but not really, http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/world_now/2012/09/syria-un-report-abuses-jihadist-militants.html

No matter who one supports or what one wants the entire war is now a criminal war to serve an unjust aim.

The USA for all its so called super power status will have failed in its plans due to russia and chinas opposition and dual veto's in the UN not the IRI help of supplies to Assad.

The USA/UK/French aim was/is to bring Salafist Sunni's to Syria who have agreed to start a war with Iraq and help the US/EU get out of their economic troubles by manufacturing for a major war, which drains the gulf arabs of funds who would be backing salafist syria and also draining both Iran & Iraq, since Iraqs oil money would go to defend itself and Iran Iran who would be backing Iraq for security.

That is what the coward Shah should have had done with the idiots. But Islamic fascism is inevitable in Syria and Egypt as it was in Iran.

Do you think Syria will be free? It will be 100 time worst..

The problem with us Iranians is that we are affable and we show too much empathy towards people who we think are victim.

The same people in that region of Syria who are fighting Assad are the same people who participated in killing Iranians in 1980-1988 war as well as also helped Al Qaeda during USA and Iraq war in 2003 to 2011.

Our sympathy with Arabs and Arab causes despite their hatred for us Iranians is amazing to me.

I think we as a nation and a s whole are who we are and we are getting what we desrve. Until the day we really understand Iran is our country and Iranian are the people and we stop relying on forigner and we only support our own.

So, in conclusion I don't give a damn about Syria and what happens there...because thousands of Iranians are dying either to murder by this Islamic Fascist Regime or through Starvation and malnutrition...

The same way you feel sorry for these Arab bastards Iranians Regime is supporting them 100 times with Iranian money.

The country's budget is allocated 40% to either Palestinian, Lebanese or Syrians.

If the Shah did that, the Islamic Republic would now be 10x stronger because they would have a real foundation of "martyrdom and struggle", added to the foundation they got from the war, and they would consolidate their hold on power in such a way that they wouldn't lose power and approval for 50-60 years. I guarantee you the next things we'll see from Syria are: a strong fundamentalist regime with popular (Sunni) backing, the genocide of Alawites and Christians.

But if you look at the early days of Islamic Republic they were very strong..the fundamentalist wave and their propaganda machine was so strong that they destroyed every opposition element

They are loosing their grip, from 2004 to 2009 they became strong again by creating another faction through Ahmadinjead...but after 2009 Ahmadinejad faction lost its grip..

now they are rifts within the regime...

that is how dictatorship fall apart..insider job

Most people here in IC think with out having real accurate information on hand. Assads forces at the current rate of destruction would be able to continue for a decade, things are not about to collapse anytime soon unless the west were involved directly. This indirect stuff is not going to make a difference in the end result in favor of the wests forces.

The mostly Sunni population for some reasons I do not know, still support their mostly Sunni armed forces who back Assad and are made up of the population, the extremists and anti Assad political forces have splintered and have lost the support they had. Because this carnage is not a price the masses of people were ever sold on and willing to pay in order to have changes. Many of those that opposed Assad are not happy with the situation and are opposed to fighting to the bitter end to serve interests that are not theirs and leaders that are not theirs.

The west may defeat Assad, but if it does it will be the old fashioned way, paying off corrupt and treasonous anti-syria politicians and political groups, creating no fly zones and safe zones within the country and doing all the killing themselves.

All This is not possible due to the cold relations between the USA and Russia. Russia will not allow the USA to tell them they do not have a seat at the table and have no right to make decisions on the subjects of war, peace and security for the region. So US humiliation of Russia will backfire and create cold relations that are much worse for the US than Russia.

Treating Russians as if they are no one in this world, but a bunch of retards who can be easily deceived as was the case in Libya is not going to work. Everyone in the Russian team knows the reset of relations was BS and didn't even get Russia a single baby rib on a plate, let alone a seat at the table.

I think Russia is fighting a losing war. They are not geographically or infrastructurally prepared to ever become a significant world power, and the US is cutting their more significant allies off one by one- Iraq first, then Libya, now Syria, next Iran. Serious Russian intervention can be stymied by funding of separatists in Russia- Chechnya, Dagestan, the Tatar/Turkic extremists, etc. Russia is large and thus susceptible to breakup and uneven control. Even Russia's attempt to invade Georgia was successfully stymied by NATO. Russia is a dying giant and Putin is its last breath.

I need to do something for Iranians on this matter. I need to put together a list of good books written by people who are not just intellectuals with a background of higher education, but actually have held some very high offices, been very successful and are esteemed among not talking heads, but leaders in their own fields.

Such people, while having a few for sale books, most of their books are not normally sold but given to friends. And you find them right on on most subjects from a prediction and understanding basis.

I remember one economist and thinker, who was explaining to me why the fed was lying and why the US was actually on a decline, and why people would be kept in the dark regarding their decline for two decades, and this was in 2006 when the USA was going through a massive housing Boom. He was right. And is right on still.

When Assads forces kill, they kill "people" as in 400 innocent people
When Western backed Extremists kill, they kill the brutal forces of the despot.
This does not seem like journalism, but it appears like dishonest propaganda. So the anti Assad anti Ghadafi cheer leaders and supporters the west manufactures are themselves indiciduals that have either allowed themselves to be deceived or on some level are in harmony with dishonesty not goodness, beauty and truth for supporting extremists.

One wonders whether all the unarmed men, women and children the extremists throw out of buildings and gun down are not seen as people too? And with that those who do not fall in line with supporting western domination and interference in the region in terms of war, peace and security while not greater in number due to the magic of mass media are thinking more honestly make them the only friends worth having.

It was obvious from the start of this 2 years ago, if the west was not willing to wipe out the syrian forces from the air and direct forces with boots on the ground and from the sea, like they did in libya, their mercenaries and hand picked political extremists chosen to install poverty, corruption, suppression and regression would not get far.

The reasoning was obvious from a democratic standpoint which the west is supposed to be the champion of, LOL Israeli's, Brits and Americans the humanitarians and the democrats, LOL.

With the the majority of the people supporting and united behind Assad as they were behind Ghadafi. The west will not be able to win here, just supplying weapons to their mercenaries and extremist groups. This is can be clearly seen. The Best they can do is to have a failed state in the next couple of years lead by the forces fighting for Assad.

Iranians need to believe in change from within and making small but effective gains, not giving up and calling for help from the outside to change our lives. It's our lives, no one will give a crap about an Iranian other than an Iranian themselves. A foreign power will first think about the oceans of oil and minerals they can split up with their friends, and the last thing they think about is whether little Reza or Katayoun will have enough bread on their tables.

And these are the kinds of "rebels" that will be sent to Baluchistan to help in the secession. Iran is targeted for balkanization, its an inevitability because most Iranians don't realize this or don't want to believe it, they think they can still elicit the support of superpowers and wrongly and naively think the powers will care about them. What we see in Syria will be Iran in 3 years, only 50x worse and ending up with Republic of Kurdistan, Republic of Baluchistan, United Republic of Azerbaijan, the Sultanate of Arabistan/Ahwaz, Khorasan going to Turkmenistan, and the tiny People's Republic of Persia headed by the beloved and democratic humanist Mrs. Rajavi.

They didn't put boots on the ground because the Syrian army is actually a moderately strong army and its armed with chemical weapons, a huge deterrent to invaders. So they are paying these Qaeda types to do the job for them, and they are going to give the country to them when they are done.

The sad part for many Iranians is that just because Assad is friends with the Iranian regime (strategic friends based on control of Lebanon, not ideological), that Iranians fail to see which side in the Syrian civil war is more benign, cheering on the rebels until you show them videos of rebels beheading and playing with the heads of prisoners or forcing kids to do it for them. I guess the end is more important than the means.
