Iranian Gossip Engine: Isfahan is nuked People ordered to leave

Balatarin

It is funny how most of us in iranian.com who I guess are educated react to gossip and really crappy articles. I was reading "Isfahan  residents told to leave the city" and thought damn this is horrible. Then I looked the sources mentioned in the article and looked there (BBC for one) and nothing was mentioned there. If this was real news it would have been the top news world wide.

So I wrote in the comments that "please remove this crap", since it is a crap since it upsets people and Isfahanis even more. The thing that the writer did was to ban me and remove my comment and write a comment that "Fars news has rejected this claim", a statement made by Fars news usually means the opposite so I guess nobody reading that comment thought more about it.

Now the page has been "Tooped" by several people and many are cursing and are upset in that forum. I guess the writer was after getting many "Toops" and do not care about peoples feelings.

Another thing is that almost none of the commentators has tried to check if the news is accurate. It goes to show that we are easy beleivers and do not need good journalistic to accept anything for truth, even us outside Iran in an open society with free access to a powerful tool like Internet.

You, yourself are the real rumour monger and misinformer!
1) The blog you are complaining never claimed that "Isfahan was nuked" per your blog heading.
2) The blog you are complaining, calling trash, never mentioned BBC at it's source per your claim. It provided a link. That's all it did.
3) There had been many reported news of Nuclear leaks at Isfahan. Islamist regime has always denied them. We never know with that Fascist regime with absolutely no accountability to people what is real and waht is just a rumour....

Now, I'd not condemn your blog as "crap" and asking for it's removal as you did to the other blog. Because i was brought up properly.

If you read the whole article I wrote "Iranian Gossip Engine", does it sound like a news to you?

Did you read the article or you just read the link? In the article it mentions BBC as one of the sources, in the BBC link you do not see anything about leakage, the story is about air pollution.

WRONG. Here is the BBC link for Jan 2nd news. Read entry at 0850

http://news.bbc.co.uk/today/hi/today/newsid_9781000/9781575.stm

"0850
Iranian authorities have advised the one and a half million people who live in Isfahan to leave the city if they can because pollution has now reached emergency levels. The same thing happened in the capital Tehran earlier this week. Kasra Naji works for the BBC's Persian TV service in London."

With the history of explosions in Isphahan in 2011 and all the lies terrorist IRI is spreading everyday, any news about any leakage and health hazard to Iranians should be investigated (since well being of Iranians is not any concern of IRI). If the story is proven completely wrong, BBC is responsible for reporting this news and they should retract it.
Talking about retracting wrongly reported news, does anyone know when NIAC is going the retract the story about the kid is Dezful that NIAC used when asking for donation? IRI and NIAC used this poor child's story to prove that he died due to drug shortages due to sanctions. An investigative report by Times of London proved otherwise.

http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/news/world/middleeast/article3640694.ece

Since the truth is out NIAC has NOT retracted its original wrong report and has NOT returned the donated money that it potentially received due to use of this story

Did you find anything in BBC that talked about a leakage? If you did yes I am wrong

This is not an isolated news, please see the following

"Massoumi said that some employees at the Isfahan site had suffered from health issues and warned of “problems [that] civilians living close to nuclear sites could face.”

Other than saying that, so far, there haven’t been any accidents outside of “specific nuclear environments,” Massoumi gave no further details.

An unnamed “informed source,” however, was quoted by the Persian Service of the BBC as saying that inhalation of hexafluoride gas had caused respiratory problems for some of the personnel at the Isfahan facility."

There has been a history of toxic/radioactive problems at Isfahan
By the way this news was later removed from IRI's Mehr news site

thanks for detailed response, but is this connected to the news I wrote about? I think your news is older than this. The BBC news I found was about air pollution and did not mention anything about nuclear leakage. We should refrain of causing panic, so writing that 1.5 million people are in danger of radioactive radiation is well pretty serious stuff and we should not reprint if we are not dead sure.

I hope (for the sake of of our people) that the Air pollution (and not nuclear leakage) is the only reason for asking ONE AND HALF MILLION people
to evacuate (air pollution at this scale is not acceptable either and a big sign of failure of IRI, I will leave it as such).

The "Old" news is from a month ago, and I think very relevant, since IRI has never clarified: the reasons, what was the cause of the leaks how many were injured (or killed), and how they fixed the problem and how it will be prevented in future for sure.. Why should our citizens not suspect the worst (another toxic/nuclear leak) anytime the government tells them to leave town due to "air pollution"?
If you lived in Isfahan and had heard about the recent nuclear accident (that you don't know its magnitude, because the government and the media want to hide it) and month later are told to leave immediately due to air pollution, what would be your first thought?

Looking at it objectively, the story may or may not be true. It was reported by a reputable news organization and the person who posted it here simply posted the news. I read it, and went to the source, read that, and left it there. I can't tell whether it's credible or not.

That being said, in my opinion, given the dictatorial, deceitful and totalitarian nature of the Islamic Republic, I wouldn't put in beyond them to not tell the population (for various obvious reasons) if there was an actual leak from the nuclear facility. Human lives---especially IRANIAN lives are totally meaningless and without value to the IR. So, the deaths or injuries that may result from a nuclear leak in a major city in Iran is of no concern to the IR.

Rumor or not, remember that more than half of the news you get from major networks is either fabricated or a very twisted, embellished form of the truth. The Esfahan leak may indeed have happened, or it may not have. As a piece of news, it is not much different from other linked articles we get on this site.

The news war reported by BBC; not that the BBC is always right.

This blog is worthless and speaks volume of the author's agenda. The only authentic newsorganization for supporters of the clerical fascist regime is Presstv and Kayahn.

Does anyone really believe that if there was an actual nuclear leak, the clerical fascists will actually report it to save Iranain people lives?? Since when the IRI has cared about the welfare and safety of its citizens?

You are very cynical, I bet there is at least 1% of people there who would tell. But the point here is not that, it is how we accept things easily.

That was posted under NEWS section not blog. Which gives it more credibility !

Here is an example !

I am an Esfahani reader
I come to the Iranian.com
I am in no mood to read anyone's blogs and blah blahs ...
I check the latest news ( last 24 hours)
The most one should appear on top based on the TOOP bazi business
so I read it
Oh my khoda .... ( in esfahan we say Khoda )
Why no one told me ?
I hate my life
not even my family loves me
Where is everybody?
I better run
then while i am running and screaming and warning
My bulb lights up ! Oh Shoot !... it is the Iranian.com ...

I do not think so it should be deleted it should be transfered to the upcoming new option on this site also known as " the Onion"
Perhaps, we can set up an onion news option while submitting certain things .... admin please note ! that option is good !

now on a more serious note !
Article suggests actually that the place has been a target and on 2011 (quote and quote) an unexplained explosion caused a damage .. So this place is already under warning ! in future that may happen ...

Perhaps this comes from secret Gardeners ( the unexplained ones ) they just went public too early ! " Be patient , next Time , it'll happen , " says BiBI ...

thanks for the blog ....

: )
