Yes but I think you're a bigger fan! No? This is going to be exciting although Vegas is betting against them Skins in their own home! No respect I tell ya!

We have been awful for so loooooong. Feels great to have something to cheer about, and I am proud of how many of the players handle themselves on and off the field.
Yes it's good to be winning for a change! WINNING! It's been good lately for DC sports, first Nats and now Skins! If only we could get Wiz to start something!

Yea, overall a GREAT year so far for the DC metro sports! Hopefully the Skins can get by Seattle and keep the bandwagon rolling.
As for the Wiz the GM should have been fired when Leonsis bought the team. Sure they've had injuries this year, but Ernie has been given enough time and second chances to turn things around.
I think Skins have a great shot at this whole thing. Having followed Nats and not believing they could win the next one, and then the next one and ... I can now believe after 7 wins in a row they can go do anything now.
Not worried about RGIII. Military family and seemingly very authentic and he just gets it. Tiger was/is MJish in managing (read: masking) his true self for the sake of sponsorship dollars, public perception, etc.
Harden: Hmm, I wonder if that opportunity came up after or before they drafted Beal. If after, would make sense to not go after Harden.
Tiger was from a military family too. I agree he is MJish and MJ did some screwy things too but not that bad. If he ends up as MJ it'd be alright!
The Harden opportunity came after Beal and OKC actually wanted Beal as part of trading Harden but Wiz could've taken Beal out of the final trade if they really wanted to. The main issue was Ted didn't want to play the maximum salary but Houston did and it is working very well for them.

Harden: Ahhh, I see. Ted has one of the highest NHL payrolls http://usat.ly/ULzt78 and just recently took ownership of the Wiz, so I am going to give him a pass on Harden and just chalk that one up to poor decision making. Time will tell...
I'm glad I don't follow NHL cause them Caps story is hearbreaking the past few years! Caps started getting good once Ovi came here and the few times I've seen him he is something else and does some incredible acrobatic goals.
I think last year in the NBA finals when Harden fizzled Ted was worried that he'd end up with another bad deal so he didn't want to spend the money as he had bad experience with some players and similar stories. But he had the entire Olympics, the entire NBA season as well as being young player to consider and evaluate. Whatever the case he is being criticized very harshly, sort of like what happened to Dan before, so he is going to make some changes and pay some money to get some decent players in the next couple of years when some of these contracts expire.

The mismanagement of contracts and personnel has been brutal (Arenas, Blatche, Lewis, etc.). Wow, as I think about it, why the heck is Ernie still employed by the Wiz?!
Well with the exception of Nene's contract Wiz's slate is going to be clean at the end of next year. So we'll see, maybe a new GM can start fresh and get this thing going! Have a great weekend and will touch base again Monday!

RGIII has been great but I'm just worried if he screws it all up like Tiger Woods once did. I wrote a blog (link below) about Tiger about how because of him I followed Golf and then he disappointed!

As for Wiz and their GM, I think it's really the owner's problem not the GM. He is cheap and he could've traded for Harden (who shined in Olympics and is now shining in Houston) but he didn't, instead he told his complying GM to gin up some generic "veterans" none of which can play a gaz! There was an article in Washington Post today (link below) about how the Skins owner finally gave up his destructive attitude and allowed others to do their jobs. Wiz's owner needs to open his pocket properly, firing this GM will be ok too!
