Nasrin Sotoudeh Ends 49-Day Hunger Strike After Daughter’s Travel Ban Lifted : International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran

After 49 days on hunger strike, Nasrin Sotoudeh has ended her hunger strike today, December 4. On his Facebook page, Reza Khandan, the human rights lawyer’s husband, wrote at 8:00 p.m. Tehran time that Sotoudeh “ended her hunger strike when the judicial restriction on Mehraveh was lifted.” Reza Khandan thanked all those who were following the news about his wife’s health. I pray that as days pass, we are going to witness more and more Iranian women standing up for their God given rights. Future of Iran belongs to people like you. You have also reminded to the entire world that what it takes to be a mother.

We should not stop till you and all the other political prisoners get released for good and those who are responsible for these illegal arrests face the justice.
