ReportThe leftist thought process operates in a world with limited resources or money. So if someome makes more means someone else needs to make less. Well that is not how economy works.
The more wealth and economic growth will lead to improved life for everyone even the poorest as long as they play in the same field and are not isolated.
Those industrious wealthiest people in the world through their motivation and hard work contribute far more the the well being of the poor than do bleeding heart lazy communist that run their mouths.
By defending the wealthy I am not defending those corrupt dictators in the third world countries that simply steal from their people.

ReportThe most prominent reason for poverty is not lack of funds, it is the corruption of the governments in the poor countries. Most of the Monetary or food aid to Africa for example never makes it to where it is intended to go.
In the case of Iran, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE is responsible for Iranian poor but the Islamic Republic of BS. In 2011 the revenues from Oil alone was about 100 billion dollars.
