During shah days, The most important principle of "White revolution" was "Troops of education". High school graduate students were mandated to go to small towns and villages to educate rural people. The rate of illiteracy from 85% in 50's dropped to 45% by late 70's.

Republicans and American racists were working hard to get Obama out of his office so they are writing whatever they can against Democrats.
Naive Iranians who fall for mullahs 34 years ago fall for these garbages once again. Mullahs supporters were bad mouthing shah in those days. They were hoping mullahs, who can't even control his body odor, makes Iran like a paradise.
Smart Iranians know better. The proof is that they are not willing to exchange their life style in Europe or America with living in China. There are still big line of Iranians, Asians in the front of European,U.S embassies begging for visa. Something that never happened when shah was on power. American embassy was open and rarely Iranians were thinking to migrate to U.S.
Now, look what happened once shah left the country, There are still so many Iranians, Asians die to immigrant to U.S. That became greatest wish for Iranian girls marry someone who is holding citizenship of Europe or U.S.
These are factual events. Now, look at your comment to see how these factual events have been upside down.
That is KASHK.

amirparvizforsecularmonarchy I Love Waterfalls and Find One of the most humorous things in the world; is the notion that Americans are a greater force for good & more civilized than Nazi's, Mullahs and Communists.

The number of Americans, Brits and Canadians wishing to move over to Iran for either work or retirement was larger than the number of Iranians leaving Iran permanently in the 1970's, to be fair Iran was creating more than enough high paying work for qualified Iranians either within Iran or coming back with degrees from the western world. Mullahs were attacking the shah out of their ignorance and the rest were fooled too.

Iranian were not wise enough to realize that shah and savak was serving their human rights, progress, peace and prosperity. Freedom and Justice were better than anywhere else in the region and while not perfect always getting better with time than just a few years earlier. So basically Iranians were so unwise they were used to thwart their own good leadership, to betray a good man who really used his conscience.

During shah's days everybody like to come to Iran to work. Arabs, pakinstanis, Indians..... and many other countries were jealous of Iranians. Our country was the best country in the M.E. Dimond of Persian Gulf. Rarely Iranians were thinking about immigrating to western countries.

Any statistic?
During shah days, "Troops of education" were sent to villages to educate rural people. The rate of illiteracy from 85% in 50's dropped to 45% by late 70's.

The least of judgment that someone can held, is to agree that the guest has (unlike many people who hide themselves behind some crazy pseudo name) has real courage. How many people who enjoy the same situation of the guest have came out and talk so frankly. Agreeing with Aslan, before holding any judgment take few minutes and listen to the second tape:

Aslan

Amir Parviz, can you write more about yourself. Is Amir Parviz your real name?

Yes Amir Parviz is my real name. Not much to say, family was from khorasan not far from mashad, they moved to tehran and lived there until the revolution when the evil spirit of the corrupt islamic authorities aimed to seize power and thwarted Iran for good. Aslan is that your real name? Are you a monarchist too, do you support the principals of Iranian culture over arab culture?

Aslan8

Aslan

Nice. Yes Aslan is my real name. I am not a monarchist per say; however there is no doubt that the late Shah did a lot for Iran, before that these thugs seized power. I have to add that many of those whom today are lecturing us about Democracy and Human rights(many of them very active in this web site) contributed a lot to the collapse of the country, and they are as much guilty of this situation as the ruling regime if even more.

This interview took place two years ago. It inspired a documentary made later by some students at the Sharif University of Tehran entitled ”Mirase Alberta”:

The documentary used some pieces of this interview. The guest; a graduate of Caltech, is well know by many students and researches in Iran on account of his research ingenuity;

Regarding the 13 million over 21 that are unemployed. And have been over 12 million for almost a decade, during which Iran received the most from oil royalties.

Who can compare such a system with the late shahs Iran.
